Looks like Kendrick Perkins is getting away with an obviously pre-meditated elbow to Orlando Guard’s Mickael Pietrus’ throat. I’m trying to look for the public outcry from the same people who were calling Kobe’s supposed elbow to Artest’s throat a suspendable offense. Also, the premeditated argument against Fisher that got him suspended.
The double standard that the NBA is obviously starting to use with the Celtics is starting to become TOO obvious:
Oh, and like how we discussed last night on our game 3 twitter cast – Artest didn’t get suspended and his Flagrant has been downgraded to a Flagrant one.
“ESPN – An NBA spokesman said the Perkins play “stands as called,” meaning Perkins will still be charged with one flagrant foul point (players are suspended a game when they reach four flagrant foul points) but will not have to sit out Sunday’s game.
Also, the NBA downgraded Ron Artest‘s flagrant foul against Pau Gasol in Friday night’s Lakers-Rockets game from a flagrant-2 to a flagrant-1.”
