With the NBA trade deadline only a month away, the trade rumors will start to kick into high gear. Although Rajon Rondo appears to be the biggest name on the trading block right now, there are a few players that could potentially help boost a title contender in the second half of the season.

Reportedly, Eric Gordon and Tyreke Evans could be on their way out in New Orleans according to Mitch Lawrence of the New York Daily News:

The Pelicans signed Tyreke Evans this past summer to a four-year, $44 million free-agent deal and then added veteran PG Jrue Holiday via a trade with the Sixers to join Eric Gordon and Anthony Davis. But all the moves haven’t exactly clicked. In fact, they’ve backfired, with New Orleans losing 13 of its last 17 games after starting out 11-10. The front office’s take? Team execs are saying at least those are assets that can be moved. Davis and Holiday are the keepers.

In the off-season, the Pelicans attempted to make enough considerable moves to become a legitimate playoff contender in the Western Conference.

Unfortunately, the acquisition of Evans and Jrue Holiday hasn’t worked out as intended and the team is willing to wheel and deal. Although Holiday would garner some intriguing offers, Evans and Gordon will be the players dangled in potential trade scenarios.
