NBA Rumors: Kevin Love Trade To Warriors Near Completion?

As the draft draws near, trade rumors continue to fly around the NBA, none bigger than those surrounding Minnesota Timberwolves superstar Kevin Love.

Many teams were floated as possible destinations with the Boston Celtics seemingly emerging with the best trade package, but Mychal Thompson heard from his source that Love could be heading to Oakland as he revealed on ESPN LA 710:

Klay, David Lee and a future first is what I’m hearing from a very reliable source, for the Kevins, Love and Martin, coming back to Golden State.

This would be an absolutely blockbuster trade if it were to go through for both sides. Teaming up Kevin Love with Stephen Curry in Golden State would have to vault them near the top of Western Conference contenders.

For the Timberwolves, they could hardly ask for anything more in a trade for their superstar. A young building block in Klay Thompson, a great replacement for Love in David Lee as well as a future first round pick.

This deal would also be a huge blow to the Lakers. Going to a contender like the Warriors makes it more likely that Love would opt-in or sign an extension with them, meaning one of the Lakers prime free agent targets could be off the market.

The Lakers are sure to have a Plan B ready in case that happens, but with the Warriors roster and situation settled, it wouldn’t be a surprise if Love decided to stay in Golden State should he be traded there.

Doesn’t make the Warriors any better. Now you have 2 ball hog shooters, Martin and Curry and another who won’t get as many shots in (Love) because there will be less chances. 2 round and out for a long time if that goes through.

    • ‘James Edwards

So curry is a ball hog? May want to check your stats again buddy

      • dawn

Bad move for warriors… His going to going to belike dcoward.

      • Peter Griffin

Doesn’t he take the majority of the shots? How is Love going to average 26 with Martin and Curry jacking up shots? They are going to be a little better.

        • Clayton

You’re an idiot Curry had the second most assists in the league

          • Peter Griffin

A idiot for voicing my opinion on a blog post. Makes sense.

          • Stephen Curry’s Mom

            a stupid opinion

          • Peter Griffin

Thanks. Have fun in the 6th grade next year. You have earned it.

          • rio kid

No but just because it’s a blog doesn’t mean people cannot make dumb statements. Curry is the best shooter in the world and gets 8.5 or so assists per game…ball hog is such a inappropriate term… now there are ball hogs in this league but not on teams that win 51 games.

          • Peter Griffin

People who get mad about what other people post from a poorly written article or for that matter any article on the internet are the ones who look really dumb. Seriously get a life, nobody cares.

        • yamyam

curry is a great passer youre an idiot …. averages 8 apg and shooting well WTF is a ballhog huh??

          • Peter Griffin

Another Idiot comment. Might be a record. English is definitely a second language for you.

          • Earthgirl33

^—- says the guy who just said “A idiot.” Idiot, you are indeed an idiot. You don’t relent after calling 2nd leading passer in the league a “ballhog.” Someone got coddled by the teat for three too many years.

          • Peter Griffin

            Lol

      • Peter Griffin

Meh.. still not going to matter. They are a number 4 or 5 for the next 4 years if it goes through. Number 6 if it doesn’t. Stats don’t always win it. Ask Miami.

        • Rangers

“stats don’t always win” Miami was the inferior team by the stats in the Finals. Both of your posts (Curry ball-hog and this post) are both bad and you should feel bad. Keep blaming “personal bias”, yet you don’t the hypocrisy in yourself

          • Peter Griffin

Lol. Angry much? I am not really sure what you are mad about or what your response means.

    • jeremy

so 8 assist a game counts as being a ball hog?

    • Lakers Fan

Doesn’t make them better?? With a healthy Bogut, that team could come out of the West. Martin is just as capable of scoring as Thompson. Thompson is better defensively and slightly better shooting the 3, but they are right about the same scoring wise. Curry also is no where near a ball hog. He is just so good at scoring that his assist numbers go unnoticed.

    • Thomas Klein

Curry is a ball hog? He’s only 2nd to CP3 is assists, you need a check up from the neck up buddy, and NO it does make them better, they now have TWO franchise players on the team in Love and Curry.

      • Peter Griffin

I’ll pass on the checkup. Thanks for your one sided opinion.

    • dwaard

Curry would pick and pop with KLove. Now you can’t hedge Curry like the Clippers did so effectively. You would have to stay with Love, or else he would have a wide open 3 or midrange. They doubled Curry off the pick since they knew Draymond and Lee were inefficient on the pop out option. I think you have it all wrong.

  • Mark

Mitch and Jimmy better stop messing around. It seems EVERYONE in the West is getting stronger but Us. With the Logo no longer guiding Kupcakes moves, I’m worried.. very worried :(

    • jim

The Lakers will not contend until Kobe and Nash are gone.

      • jeremy

nash is basically gone since he hardly plays so they just pay him to mostly be on the bench. i think a team with kobe is still good we just need the right coaching and talent.you mix a few pieces from last season team mix in with guys like deng and you got a much improve lakers

        • Tim Stafford

Lakers will be back. Draft Smart, kid has a lot of upside. We need a stud PG. Get Monroe from the Pistons, or Luol Deng, resign Hill, Young, Bazemore, Kelly, Farmar or Meeks and Henry. You have Nash to groom Smart for a year and Sacre can provide minutes. That team will be respectable, and then get another stud in 2015.

          • LakersGetPG24

Meeks needs to go, I say Randle or Embiid in front of Smart we need an inside defensive presence

          • jeremy

embiid is too much of a risk on a rebuilding team like the wolves i can see it but on a team like the lakers that too much of a risk to take. guys with back problems dont last long. just look at luke he wasnt the same after he hurt his back

          • Chrmngblly

            Luke? Luke who? Walton?

          • Joseph Apohen

How many Lukes do you know?!

          • Chrmngblly

            At least 3.

          • Joseph Apohen

How many with bad back who passes behind between his legs?

          • Chrmngblly

I give. Who are you talking about? Nobody goes by just Luke with a bad back except Walton that I know of.

          • Tim Stafford

The problem with both of those guys is their damaged goods. I think Embiid is another bust waiting to happen. If we get Monroe, and resign Hill, paired with Sacre, that should be a good start. I heard rumors Gortat is available. This is a PG driven league, much like the NFL being a QB driven league. We need a floor general.

          • jeremy

those 3 would be a good start. hill show he got it, scare show he can improve with the right coaching and monroe just under use since pistons have two other good big man

          • LakersGetPG24

Embiid will not be a bust, his upside completely outweighs his injuries

          • Joseph Apohen

            So did Oden!

          • Chrmngblly

We could be a system driven team like the Spurs, Heat or NY is going to be. Why do we need even more gunners? I like Marshall. I like the balance that gives us, going forward, with Kobe in the lineup.

And Gortat isn’t going anywhere, you know that.

          • Joseph Apohen

            What’s Sacre going to do?!

          • Chrmngblly

Back up Embiid. He’s growing as a player. Let him continue. Give him a few minutes here and there. I would love it if he grew into trade bait or learned the 4. I like Sacre.

          • Chrmngblly

Actually, Embiid, Vonley and Gordon in front of Smart. Smart and Randle make me nervous.

          • LakersGetPG24

Randle looked great from what I can see, smart makes me nervous because he isn’t a true point guard and turns over the ball WAY too much. We need someone more like Ennis if you ask me

          • Chrmngblly

I would even maybe take Lavine, on spec, over Smart, possibly. I get the heebie-jeebies about that guy. I would idealy want Embiid, Gordon and Lavine or
Exum. But I know I don’t get to see ‘em up close so I have to trust Mitch. There are a lot of really low IQ commenters behind Smart on here. THAT makes me twice as nervous about him, but I like heady players. I would feel better if Smart played the 2 or was big enough to play the 4.

          • VillainKing

Smart makes you nervous…heheheh..you are just a gay..Chrmngay..

          • nlruizjr

get rid of one of your best defenders and shooters, hmmm that sounds lame !!!!

          • LakersGetPG24

Meeks was on a contract year and I don’t know what games you were watching but he is a horrid defender especially because he is so outsized

          • Chrmngblly

The whole team avoided D all year, all of them did. It is called the Matador defense. We don’t know how Meeks would do if properly coached.

I want Love and LBJ and Melo to hurry up and sign somewhere else so we can get on with building a team from the bottom up. Waiting for any of those guys is like masturbation—and no, I am not going to explain that to you, VillianKling.

          • nlruizjr

            ask D. Lillard !!!!!!

          • VillainKing

Lakers must draft Marcus Smart he is there best choice..

          • VillainKing

            Chrmgay Fuck you very much..heheheh

          • Joseph Apohen

            Sacre?!

          • rio kid

Lakers will not be good until the albatross of Kobe’s deal is finally in the past. Nash too. If they didn’t sign Kobe they could go get Lebron…Maybe they could still get him. I see either lebron or Duran in Laker gold. Hate to see it as I am from the bay area…long suffering Ws fan. Nice to finally see the lakers down…won’t last though.

      • Joseph Apohen

Who are they going to have to contend after those two are gone? Sacre? I was wishing for Love and Westbrook. The Warriors are going to contend for the title. With a healthy Bogut, Harrison Barnes, Love, Martin, Curry, and Iggy, looks like Kerr made the right choice instead of NY. As a Lakers fan, I don’t see much hope for us for the next 5 years.

      • rio kid

I agree. Why did the Lakers sign that two year deal with Kobe. He’s toast.

    • Jack Bauer

Agreed. Buss Jr. is slowly destroying the Lakers.

    • They call me Pringles

There’s nothing the Lakers can do. We just don’t have assets. Klay Thompson, David Lee & a future 1st is way better than our 7th pick, Robert Sacre, Steve Nash and/or Ryan Kelly.

      • jeremy

there is , retool with a rookie or rookies this year and get good free agents. we dont need love to get better. he would of been nice, but the lakers can still improve and i believe they will. if kobe has any say i can see deng being a for sure laker

        • They call me Pringles

Of course the Lakers will be better. I was just addressing the fact that the Lakers currently don’t have assets to trade for Love this off season, and Golden State has better assets to dangle around.

        • Chrmngblly

Actually we are doing what we can do right now. We are trying to reclaim draft-day busts: Marshall, Johnson, Young, X, Meeks, Bazemore and Brooks are all somebody else’s busts. We are sifting through the trash looking for salvageable players.

That’s what the spurs did to get Patty Mills, Green and the current MVP, Kawhi Leonard. All these guys are reclamation projects.

We need Coach England, the guy that developed these guys—or taught ‘em how to shoot, anyway, for the Spurs.

          • Lakers Realist

Well, yes to all those names except Kawhi. He’s Finals MVP after 3 seasons, that’s not exactly a reclamation project. They were working on him from day 1, they got him working with their shooting coach right away as that’s what he was really missing.

Everyone just needs to relax. Jim and Mitch had a CP3 to LA trade done until Stern came in. Dwight was gotten for a Bynum that didn’t even play that season, and he going to be coddled by CP3, but obviously that didn’t work out. It was bad luck with what happened to both Steve and Kobe.

The management is fine. They’re regrouping and will rebuild this team soon enough.

          • Chrmngblly

I don’t think you disagreed with anything I said so far. the Spurs didn’t originally draft Kawhi, I don’t believe.

Your assertion that Jim Buss is anything but a pothead ne’er-do-well is laughable. Consider this article:

            http://thedailysportsheralddotblogspotdotcom/2014/03/jim-buss-timeline-and-decline-of-lakersdothtml
It’s worth the read. Change the [dot] to periods.
After you read it tell me things are fine.

          • Lakers Realist

So is Kobe a reclamation project then? The Lakers traded for him on draft night after Charlotte picked him the same way the Spurs traded for Kawhi on draft night after the Pacers picked him. That’s what my point was.

Sure, he doesn’t have a clean track record by any means. You have to admire the fact that despite that crushing veto of the CP3 trade, he positioned the team to have a Big Four still the next season. It didn’t work, but a lot of franchises would have crumbled completely.

A lot of people have demons that they wrestle with, but manage to succeed in the long run. Not saying I’m happy by any means with how the last 3 seasons have gone, just saying there’s reason for optimism with a fresh coach and a fresh lottery pick. Just have to stay patient.

          • Chrmngblly

You didn’t read the article I recommended, did you? All this shit we are in is JB’s fault. I despair. All the agents know the Lakers are in disarray. It is not good.

Just recently the head of scouting, Jamie Buss, came on the video and said his 2-cents. All of the bosses of everything in the Lakers are Buss kids. It is impossible to build a world class sports franchise based on nepotism instead of merit. It also drives all the truly worthy talent to our competitors.

I understand Dr. Buss wanting to provide employment in perpetuity for his offspring, but it is not the way to build a world class basketball franchise. It is also distasteful and un-American and dooms the Lakers to trading places, long-term, with the Clippers.

          • Lakers Realist

Just because I still disagree with you doesn’t mean I didn’t read the editorial piece you pointed to. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I choose not to be in the doom and gloom category. Irritated and disappointed with the team and Jim Buss? Yes. However there’s plenty of time for them to prove they’re capable of rebuilding the franchise.

          • Chrmngblly

OK. Fair enough. But there are reasons some franchises consistently do well and some do poorly. I believe it all begins with a standard of excellence across the organization, not entitlement.

          • Lakers Realist

Definitely agree with you there, only time will tell if they’ve been humbled enough by the last few seasons. Hopefully they have and will get the ship righted quickly.

          • Chrmngblly

I despair because I don’t see it. At different times they could have had PJ or they could have had Magic as their leader, but instead of being satisfied to be good owners, they had to try their hands at actually running the franchise and dividing up all the jobs between all the kids. The question I have is, do these kids meet the qualifications they would have if they would go out and try to hire professionals to replace themselves with on the open market? Excellence always begins with ownership—or not.
Look at Jim Buss’ life. How low are they willing to go? That’s why I shared that post with you. Dr. Buss’ “PLAN” was not about the continued excellence of the Lakers, it was about the Buss kids getting jobs for life. Fact.

    • Mike

Lets not forget that Jerry West is at Golden State.

    • nlruizjr

seems as if Mitch is very narrow minded and planning his moves for someone that will not be there, looks like the lakers will be in Plan B mode for a long time, don’t understand why they kept giving up all those 1st rd. picks but that’s for another session.

  • jeremy

not going to hate because i like love and he much better then lee, but if you think about it how much better would the warriors actually get. compare in stats you get love who avg more points but that because he was like the only guy who could, with lee he had like 4 other guys who could score and you get about the same in rebounding lee avg 9 and love avg 12. warriors for sure improve but by how much? if this trade happen only time will tell

    • cyborgspider

You have to factor in Kerr’s role as well. First time coach, replacing a favorite of the players, how is that going to play out?

      • jeremy

Jackson was unfairly fired. some teams want too quick results. what more can you ask for from a young coach who never coach before. the dude went to the playoff 2 of the 3 years.

        • nlruizjr

I don’t think it was his coaching that got him fired, for some reason Jackson and the FO were at odds ?????

    • Yo Mama

Love is basically Lee and Thompson put together. Almost as good a shooter as Thompson and a better rebounder than Lee. Don’t tell me he only had those stats cause he played on a bad team because he can very well average 25-12 playing for this warriors team. Add Martin to replace Thompson and you don’t lose much 3 pt shooting. This trade would put them above the Rockets and on Par with OKC in terms of talent.

      • jeremy

how do we know he will or wont, he never played on a good team minus ucla where he was the main star. only time will tell how good he will be on a good team. i have no doubts he wont do well, but will he be the same guy he was with the wolves no on knows

      • Laker lover nola

He’s virtually a double double guy as he averaged 11.6 the season before last.

      • nlruizjr

good offensively but a little weak defensively !!!

    • Rangers

“love is only better in points” lmfao. Love had the 3rd highest winshares, and winshares/per48 in the NBA last year. His elite offensive rating and good 102 defensive rating means he is an elite player (top 10 in NBA without doubt). This would be a good trade for both teams…only way it doesn’t happen if Love says he won’t resign with the Warriors after this season.

  • Al

Didn’t you all once report a Pau Gasol trade and were completely WRONG.
Even he is Klay’s dad, Mychael Thompson saying he heard from somebody else is hardly a reliable source especially considering he is terrible as an announcer and regularly talks out of his butt when commentating.

    • Thomas Klein

Talks out his butt…… just as long as he doesn’t clear his throat.

  • tee are

as long as Jim Buss is in the forefront in attracting premium free agents for the Lakers, there is no way we can get any of them. Bring back Jerry West and perhaps, we would see a deluge of free agents wanting to be with the Lakers. its all about reputations :)

    • http://www.foxhilldesign.com Josh

The only free agent Dr. Buss and Jerry West ever landed was Shaq.

  • Jack Bauer

As a Lakers fan, I’m preparing for a stretch of losing seasons. It sounds like the Lakers might lose out to the W’s. Lebron, Melo and others won’t be heading to LA unless it’s the Clippers. Buss Jr. totally ruined the team for years to come and his sister will have to pick up the pieces.

  • Fernando Banuelos

I want this trade to be made. This makes Klay available in a couple of years.

    • BULL

U RIGHT.. ONE MORE SEASON AND HE WILL BE A FREE AGENT AND U KNOW WHERE HES COMING!!!!! YESSSSSSSSS

  • BULL

MEANS LAKERS SHOULD DRAFT FOR RANDALL OR VONLEH

  • jeremy

lets get broken foot embiid lol. poor guy all the talent in the world but cant stay healthy

    • Thomas Klein

      Greg Oden all over again…….

      • VillainKing

        Also Andrew Bynum..

    • BULL

U JOKIN BUT IM SERIOUS.. I WILL TAKE A CHANCE.. LAKERS ALWAYS BUILD AROUND CENTER.. WE NEED HIM .. FX WILL HEAL.. BACK GOOD.. HOPE HE FALLS TO US

      • jeremy

so you want the lakers to take a risk on a guy with history of injures i wouldn’t. lakers had enough health problems last season we dont need more. lakers need to take the more sure thing not the risk even if he has great talent.

  • AK

do they really think with just curry and love they would do anything? they need klay on the team or their just gonna be another 8th-7th place team in the west

    • jeremy

they will still have barnes and Andre Iguodala. all they will need is their center to stay health and get a 6th man who will be martin most likely if he doesnt start

  • All In

    Rumors like this are interesting.

Klay, David Lee and a future first is what I’m hearing from a very reliable source, for the Kevins, Love and Martin, coming back to Golden State.

Very reliable source meaning his son Klay Thompson lol ha ha ha.Good stuff man.

  • http://rantsofascorpio.wordpress.com/ Evan

I think we all assumed Love wouldn’t be on the Lakers this season. Let’s see whether he wants to stay there or not.

  • Xdelarkins 24

I think the Lakers should draft Aaron Gordon, try to sign either melo, Deng,Turner, ariza, or Hayward . Then resign gasol at a reasonable price, resign young to vet min , resign bazemore, Marshall, farmer, Henry, hill, Kelly . Then send sacre to the d league for much needed development

    Roster:
    pg: Marshall, farmar, Nash(benched please)
    sg: Kobe, bazemore, Henry
sf: (melo, Turner, ariza, Deng, or Hayward) , young
    pf: Aaron Gordon, Kelly
C: gasol, hill, sacre(after some time in the d league )

most of the players are interchangeable by position, top that off with the best coach not signed in Lionel hollins, and you got a contender, all while being affordable

    • jeremy

no thank you on marshall, because we need someone better at PG. marshall needs alot of work. he good at passing everything else not so much

      • Xdelarkins 24

But with a talented starting five like that all He will really need to do is pass, and He has defensive pg behind him in farmar, and a defensive coach in hollins, He has upside, just needs to develop

        • jeremy

lakers need more then just a passer im sorry. this league you cant just be a passer. you need to be able to shoot and defend. right now i dont know if lakers want to wait and see if he can improve. every team that won a ring has a PG that can do a little bit of everything. look at fisher he was no all star, but he was a smart PG that could shoot pass and defend a little.

          • Xdelarkins 24

I think Marshall is pretty smart for a young pg, and farmar and Nash can mentor him, I see Marshall as a young Fisher, as in they both have good bball IQs but Marshall passes better and doesn’t take charges, but one thing that’s similar is spot up shooting from beyond the arc. But really the Lakers shouldn’t be worried because with a roster like that you have a deep pg position aswell as depth in every position, good teams have good pgs but unless we’re getting exum or lowry, I don’t think pgs should be top priority

          • jeremy

well lakers right now dont have deep anything since we only have 3 players 2 really since nash playing up in the air.

          • Xdelarkins 24

I’m talking about the roster I posted lol

          • jeremy

with a roster like that i would still think about a different PG. im just not a fan of marshall. he did well to start but he slow down alot once teams got the feel of him. if he can improve sure but as is now im not sure he a good fit.

          • Xdelarkins 24

It’s a good thing He has an offseason to improve

  • BULL

HE WOULD BECOME A RESTRICTE FRE AGENT 2015.. NEVEER MIND

  • Terrence

They’ll stay about the same. The big component they were missing in the post season was Bogut. Without his size and defense they didn’t have enough to get to the conference finals. Contenders they are not.

  • AC

what do you guys think about maybe the Lakers trying to get a steal out of free agency in Chandler Parsons??? We should closely watch the Rockets this offseason and see what they do. Who knows, maybe they do get Melo or some other high quality free agent… there might not be enough money to go around. Plus, Parsons is such an underrated player and the guy can ball. I wouldn’t mind him being apart of the Lakers’ future and being future teammates with Randle/Smart.

  • BULL

LAUGH ALL U WANT.. I WISHING EMBIID FALLS TO US.. TAKE THAT CHANCE 100% PLUSSSSS

  • k.

Oh they will get the shots, and Kerr will likely implement the Trianlge offense. Time will tell if Kerr can get these guys to buy into the system. Warriors have options now and their offense will not be the problem, it’s the defense that will be the issue. If this deal goes through it will be interesting what plans the Lakers will have.

so tired of hearing how Jim is destroying the Lakers. Everyone who says that knows nothing about the inter workings of the NBA or Lakers. 1. Jim was greatly responsible for the CP3 trade that Stern screwed us out of. Had the CP3 trade gone down, we never would have gotten Nash, which in turn would have meant that we would have gotten Phil back along with Dwight. Stern is the biggest reason for our team being in the state it is in….NOT JIM!! 2. Not Jim’s decision for MDA. 3. Mitch brought us 2 titles without the logo. Pau was Mitch, not Jerry. 4. Jim matched up 4 hall of famers. The year before Nash came to LA he had great numbers. Never could have foreseen his injury, or Kobe’s injury for that matter. 4 1/2. Never could have foreseen ALL of the ridiculous injuries that plagued the Lakers the last 2 years. 5. Jim has been strapped with cap space since he took over. 6. The new CBA was created to destroy the legacy his father built. 7. You guys have been talking crap about Jim since the day his father died. Even before he had a chance to begin to mourn his father you felt you had the right to bury the guy and put Jeanie on a pedestal as if she put all of the championship teams together. 8. I’m so tired of reading fair weather ‘Laker fan’ garbage. Wait and see. The Lakers will be back. Until then just shut your mouths if you don’t have anything constructive to say.

    • A Fan

I do agree with everything you said except the coaching hirings. We probably never know what happened behind the scenes, but I do think Jim Buss had a hand in deciding to hire Mike Brown and Mike D’Antoni over Phil

      • Rob

Well, I just gotta take a guy at his word. If he says his dad told him to hire MDA then until there is evidence to the contrary I’m not going to assume he’s a liar just because he seemed to have beef with one of the candidates. From the rumors that are out there Dr. Buss didn’t like that Phil hadn’t married his daughter yet. I understand where you are coming from though. We will never have the film.

  • Marty Susman

The #1 target for the Lakers should be a POINT GUARD like K. Irving…. Next should be a center like Greg Monroe….Use the 7th pick to get a solid power forward, add Swaggy Pea and there ia your starting five…..

  • j.thekidd

Oh well if K-Love really Wana play for the GWS good for him..I wounder if Klay it’s. FA lets season I would love to see him in the LAkers uniform like his father

  • j.thekidd

  • Joey

Joel Embiid is fragile and he can break in half if he plays in the NBA.NO WAY!

  • jay

am I the only one who thinks the Lakers should go after the Bulls’ #16 & #19 draft picks? since they want to get rid of them for future first firsts to clear up cap space to sign Carmelo Anthony, just imagine having #7, #16 and #19 pick in this years draft, not a bad idea I must say.

  • Rick Mathews

How does this improve Golden State? They’d be dumb to make this trade.

  • 3339

Great trade for the warriors. Andre moves to the 2. Barnes is back in the starting 5 and gets to play more and Love provides great rebounding and a stretch 4. I don’t understand how people think this is a bad move for them if it gets done.
I thought Love to LA was a sure thing but other teams were much more aggressive.

  • TheTruthKills

I’m not sure they’re good enough to come out of the west, but they’ll make it interesting. A good playoff run is probably enough for Love to sign an extension.

  • Richard Truong

This ain’t going to happen because the Wolves want the 2015 draft pick which they can’t trade until after draft. If they want a future, it’s in 2019.

  • Adrian Meli

Pretty big trade but there is no end to K. Love rumors so seems like we may still have a bit before believing this is a done deal.

  • Carol Fox-Good

None of it matters. Spurs will repeat.

  • Xdelarkins 24

All I’m saying is draft Gordon, and everything will fall into place

  • http://www.bungeeclub.com Bungeeclub

It would be great if Love went to Golden State, they would be killer then. With those shooters they would have, wow what a team would be an understatement.

  • Lakers4Life

Nothing to worry about. Once we get LeBron (maybe Melo) along with a potential Smart at PG, we’ll be back as contenders for sure.

  • borsalino12

Just don’t blame Kevin Love, if he finally signs new contract with the Warriors.Years after years, Mitch, Dr.Buss and now his son Jimmy were doing very harmful mistakes to the future of this team. That kind of careless management brought this organization to the bottom of the NBA and now, no free agents wants to play here anymore. We are not an attractive destination for the other players. That is why, K.Love choose to play in the Bay area instead of his home-town. We don’t have even one solid piece at the moment to attract someone. As a matter of fact, we don’t even have a head-coach and assistants. Having some salary cap space does not means anything, when you don’t have solid pieces in your team, to build around. And for that reason, we can not have any hope, that players like K.Love. K.Irwing, K.Durant, R.Westbrook, R.Rondo or LaMarcus Aldridge will be wearing the gold and purple uniform one day. We are not that top-tier organization we were once. Dr.Buss took it to his grave with his death. Accept the truth Lakers fans.
