There seems to be no end to the Carmelo Anthony saga with the Chicago Bulls now emerging as a threat to the New York Knicks and Los Angeles Lakers once again.

According to Mike McGraw of the Daily Heard, Carmelo appears to renewed interest in signing with the Bulls:

The consensus heading into NBA free agency was that Carmelo would do the rounds with interested teams and then sign with the Knicks. Yesterday, it appeared that would be the case with a report coming to light about Carmelo being on the verge of returning to New York.

It comes as no surprise Carmelo is still up in the air about his decision with Chicago emerging as a potential destination once again. The Bulls would be a great fit for the superstar as he would provide the offensive firepower the team has been missing, but the star forward would have to take a discount to join Derrick Rose and company in the Windy City.

So although the Lakers are still in the mix for Carmelo, it may have gotten that much tougher to sign him with the Bulls becoming a legitimate candidate once again.

There’s been no timeline for Carmelo’s decision as he continues to weigh his options in free agency.

When is ENOUGH actually ENOUGH? Today? When there are no FAs left? I wasn’t all that high on Melo to the Lakers at first but then sort of came around to like the idea, mainly due to the fact that Kobe was all for it. But, and I think many agree, the real truth is probably that we would be better off with 3 stars from FA instead of one superstar and maybe one mid level addition. Hey, a Bledsoe, Ariza or Stephenson combo and getting Pau back or a good young center to go with Kobe and Randle, some of last years starters back as backups…. and we are good to go with room to grow. ENOUGH needs to be ENOUGH sooner than later. Is it a Melo or a Smello? Inquiring minds wanna know….

Carmelo Anthony will pick the Lakers IMO and also i think the waiting game is because the Lakers FO are trying to trade for Kevin Love.Meaning the Lakers want Carmelo Anthony and Kevin Love to join the Lakers and Kobe.Probably will happen since the Lakers drafted a power forward Julius Randle and the Timberwolves probably instructed them to do so as they want Randle in the trade so essentially it is very possible the Lakers picked for the Timberwolves on draft night.Carmelo wants Kevin Love so they can play with Kobe it’s a fluid situation.
