The Lakers are fortunate to be in one of the best markets in the country and free-agents always have the Lakers on their list of possible destinations. This franchise is known throughout the world and no matter how the Lakers are performing, they will remain very popular across the globe.

The Lakers rank No. 2, worth $1 billion, up 11% from last year. The Lakers and Knicks are the first NBA teams to be valued at 10-figures. The Lakers’ revenue will surge this season with the start of their new 20-year, $3.6 billion television deal withTime Warner Cable.

Before the start of the season, the Lakers signed a deal with Time Warner Cable and they provided fans with two channels, Time Warner Cable SportsNet and Time Warner Cable Deportes. The networks are available on several television providers in Southern California, adding to the already lucrative deal.

Even though the Lakers are in the bottom half of the Western Conference, they will always remain one of the marquee and most popular franchises in the NBA.
