NBA News: Kobe Bryant Will Call Yankees’ Alex Rodriguez

The Los Angeles Lakers are just about to start their season, but MLB teams are already deep into their post-season. The New York Yankees are currently battling the Baltimore Orioles in the National League Division Series and are leading the best of five series, 2-1.

The Yankees are coming off an exciting Game 3 victory thanks to the heroics of Raul Ibanez in the 9th and 12th innings. Ibanez pitch-hit for Alex Rodriguez in the 9th inning and ended up hitting a home run to tie the game before hitting a separate walk-off home run in the 12th.

Even though Rodriguez is the face of the New York Yankees he has been struggling mightily of late, which is why Ibanez was in his place during the inning. Most people liked the idea of Ibanez at the plate, but Kobe Bryant, a friend of Rodriguez, does not like seeing one of the league’s best players left out in that situation.

The Yankees will play Game 4 of the series tonight at 7:30 p.m. EST. They will have a chance to close out the series and perhaps this time Rodriguez will be the one to come up clutch. Bryant will surely follow the game and he is hoping his good friend can once again prove his critics wrong.
