NBA News: Jason Terry Ready to “Kill” NBA’s Elite

The Boston Celtics may be an old team, but they are certainly capable of making a deep playoff run in 2013. The Celtics, led by Rajon Rondo, have kept Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett on the roster, and they have also added Jason Terry and Courtney Lee. On top of that, Avery Bradley will be returning from his injury and Jeff Green will also be getting a second chance in Boston.

Terry is another proven veteran and he will fit in perfectly with this Celtics team. Terry understands what it takes to win an NBA championship and he is ready to add to his ring total in Bean Town. The newest Celtic is not afraid to voice his opinion and he told Comcast Sports Net that he is ready to take down the competition.

“My mission is to kill; whether it’s the Heat, whether it’s the Lakers. Hopefully both. That’s my mission, and that’s what I’m here to do,” Terry said.

Terry is known as a player who tends to run his mouth, but frankly, he usually backs up his talk. Terry got a tattoo of the Larry O’Brien trophy and constantly talked trash about the Miami Heat in the 2011 NBA Finals, and he ended up with the last laugh as the Mavericks won the championship.

Even though the Celtics lost sharp-shooter Ray Allen, the team has not lost a step. The front-office did a great job revamping the roster and maintaining the core of Rondo, Pierce and Garnett.  The Lakers and Celtics have had battled in the past several seasons, and 2012-13 should not be any different.
