Another day, another former Lakers head coach or assistant coach is rumored to be on the move as Brian Shaw has emerged as a leading candidate for the Brooklyn Nets coaching vacancy.

Shaw is the lead assistant for the Indiana Pacers, and his name has surfaced as a candidate in Philadelphia and now in Brooklyn.

While he won’t be the only one to interview, Shaw follows former Lakers head coach Phil Jackson as the latest to be considered for the job. After firing Avery Johnson in December, the Nets parted ways with interim coach P.J. Carlesimo and were eliminated over the weekend by the Chicago Bulls in the first round.

Owner Mikhail Prokhorov is looking to make a splash with his next head coach, and Shaw has the pedigree to  make the next step with the Nets.
