There are a lot of things to ask D’Antoni and Lakers fans are anxious to hear what the new coach has to say about the season. D’Antoni has been heavily criticized for his defensive schemes and that is something that will surely pop up during the interview.

Mike D’Antoni is scheduled to conduct his first television interview as the new head coach of the Los Angeles Lakers tonight in an exclusive discussion on “Access SportsNet: Lakers” at 6:30 p.m. D’Antoni will speak via satellite with Time Warner Cable SportsNet studio anchor Chris McGee and studio analyst James Worthy from his home in New York.

Additionally, Laker legend and NBA Hall of Famer Kareem Abdul-Jabbar will be a live studio guest on “Access SportsNet: Lakers” tonight, joining Worthy, Time Warner Cable SportsNet studio analyst Kurt Rambis and McGee. Abdul-Jabbar will discuss the Lakers’ hiring of D’Antoni as well as the unveiling of his statue at STAPLES Center, which Time Warner Cable SportsNet will air live on Friday.

For fans with Time Warner Cable SportsNet, this will be a must-see television special. It will air tonight at 6:30 p.m. and should give great insight as to what we can all expect from the Lakers under D’Antoni.

In his T.V statement Mike D’Antoni will say, “Foremost, I would like to thank Phil Jackson for indirectly helping me get this job and secondly, I would like to thank the Buss family domination for not allowing outsiders to gain power in Lakers Organization.”
“oh looking forward to get that Championship for Lakers. And please don’t look at my record or no experience with Championship rings. Look at me for who I am now. I’ll prove everyone out there that I can do it, believe in me and trust in me.”

    • Phil Jackson

      That’s just plain disrespectful

I was just highlighting something that is being ignored.
Phil being greedy. Lakers Organization want to retain power.
Coach with no Championship ring and record is below mike brown.

“The reason I haven’t tweeted in 2 days is because I’ve been mourning Phil Jackson not being hired as the Lakers head coach.” — Earvin Magic Johnson (@MagicJohnson) November 14, 2012
