Before heading into the 2012 NBA Draft on Thurs. June 28, Metta World Peace was one of two big-name players potentially on the trading block in order to acquire a pick in the first round. The rumors of World Peace being dangled as trade bait for a first-round pick in the draft may have rubbed the man formerly known as Ron Artest the wrong way with the controversial forward using Twitter to vent his frustration.

Not only did World Peace go on a rant for over two hours on Twitter during the draft, but his tweets were nothing short of hilarious with the veteran making fun of the constant trade rumors in Los Angeles.

Below is one of more than a dozen tweets about talking about hilarious trade scenarios via @MettaWorldPeace:

Obviously, World Peace hasn’t lost his sense of humor over these trade rumors and is having fun with all the speculation surrounding his future in Los Angeles.

It remains to be seen whether or not World Peace will be traded at one point during the NBA off-season, but in the meantime he’s going to have fun with the situation and continue to make people laugh even with an uncertain future with the Lakers.

Why would the Lakers trade the only other player that comes to play every night, he may not have the talent as others, but he shows up every night. What good is talent if your not there every night???

       to many technical’s lol

  • Lakersno_6

I’m surprised David Stern did give him a technical foul with a side of fines with that order

    Hilarious

He is not the problem..they need a true POINT GUARD thats goin to take CONTROL of the ball game..they shouldnt keep “MORRIS” he is not good at all..They should talk to “LAMAR” and see how he feel comin back..

  • P Jerell

If they keep SESSION they should start BLAKE and have SESSION come of the bench

Highly agree, but coach Mike Brown doesnt see it that way. WE NEED A NEW COACH!

Getting DJO really does mean MWP is gone.  Odom will be in the Lakers starting 5 by All-Star break, unless a better 3 is gotten through trades.  Slowly but surely this team is going to get better…and Metta is not gonna be part of it when it does.

Hell with Commissioner David Stern- vetoed Chris Paul trade, screwed the Lakers plan of attack to get better. Hell with Jim Buss for being so immature in deciding to trade L.O. for nothing.

Metta was one of the only few who showed up consistantly in the playoffs he is definitely a keeper. I would not be so fast in trading him. He gets some dumb techs here and there then suspended but his worth it if u can control him which usually they can good player overall.

Remember when the Lakers traded Walton for a coupon to help buy a bucket of chicken?

Say what you want about Artest, The man gives 120% every night and he plays to win

Keep MWP. Get rid of Gasol. MWP plays hard every night. Gasol has been weak every since he won a couple championships and got his payday. Kobe should part with some of his 33 mil and perhaps we could land a quality player. However, he will not do that because he’s not only a ball hog, but he’s also greedy. I like Kobe, but at this point he should stop complaining and be a part of the solution. He’s taking almost 50% of the teams salary. So, shut up, do your job,  or give up the money.
