After changing his name from Ron Artest to Metta World Peace, fans and members of the media were excited to see the new number 15 Lakers jersey. World Peace is known for his off-the-court antics and this name change just proves that World Peace can do anything he puts his mind to.

At times the Lakers may be struggling and could go through tough times, but World Peace will always find a way to lift the morale of the team.

Still, despite his positive mentality, World Peace needs to improve his game if he wants to remain with the Lakers. World Peace came into this season ‘overweight’ and began his relationship with Mike Brown on the wrong foot. If World Peace wants to make an impact on the team, he must get back into basketball shape and work on his outside shooting.

It’s tough to kind of get back to work all of a sudden and expect GM’s to just start making moves. It’s a short season… before the trade deadline, unless Orlando is truly looking like a contender… they will most likely trade D12… same with Chris Paul. The only “rush” is if they expect the players to not be motivated… but these guys will be, because they want to get paid. That’s what happened to LO… they felt he was going to be a liability… add to the fact Laker fans… that we all know how much of a crap shoot Lamar was… the only thing I feel for is the locker room presence… those things you can’t really replace and again… hosrt season… “getting to know each other” will not triumph over “already know each other”… not only on personal levels but on the court achievements as well. Of course… this is just my opinion!
