Metta World Peace Calls Lakers “Greatest Team Ever Assembled”

Metta World Peace did it again.

Prior to the start of the 2012-13 season, World Peace said the Lakers would beat the Chicago Bulls’ record for the most wins in the regular season with a 73-9 mark. However, that prediction quickly proved inaccurate as the Lakers started the season off very poorly.

As of right now, the Lakers are 22-26 and got their first win on the road in 2013 last Friday night against the Timberwolves before following it up with a win in Detroit. Even though the Lakers are currently out of the Western Conference playoffs and are struggling on the road, World Peace still believes the Lakers are the greatest team ever assembled.

After Friday night’s game, World Peace spoke to Mark Medina and gave us another memorable quote.

The Lakers have played very well in the past six games and have gone 5-1 in that stretch. The postseason once again looks like a possibility for the Lakers and if they continue with the strong performances, they can sneak into the top eight.

However, World Peace certainly went overboard claiming the Lakers are the greatest team ever assembled.
