Matt Barnes Plans Charity Game in San Jose

Los Angeles Lakers forward Matt Barnes is planning a charity basketball game in San Jose, Calif. The game will take place on Nov. 5 at 6:30 at the San Jose Events Center. The game will consist of two teams, the 2007 Golden State Warriors and the current team. Barnes, and the other event host Jason Richardson, played for the Warriors in 2007 when they knocked off the Dallas Mavericks in the playoffs.  The actual rosters and the ticket prices have not yet been released, but all proceeds will go to Barnes’ foundation, Athletes vs. Cancer.

“The guys are eager to play,” said Barnes’ publicist Courtney Merfeld. “They’re going to be playing for charity as well. It’s a win-win situation.”
