As the two biggest stars in arguably the most heated and competitive rivalry in NBA history, Larry Bird and Magic Johnson became legends in the game of basketball going head-to-head in epic battles between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Boston Celtics during the ‘80s.

A result of the numerous championship showdowns and the historic rivalry between the two NBA Hall of Famers, Magic Johnson and Larry Bird’s legacy and journey has been turned into a play on Broadway called Magic/Bird.

On Wednesday night, the two NBA legends appeared on ‘The Late Show With David Letterman’ to talk about their rivalry in the ‘80s and their new Broadway show.
