Sunday, Mar. 11, ESPN will showcase its latest sports film and this time, the spotlight will be on Earvin “Magic” Johnson. Johnson shocked the world in November of 1991 when he announced that he was HIV-positive and would retire from the NBA because of it. Magic did return to the NBA a few years later, but he left his foot-print on the entire world.

Nearly 21 years later, Johnson is still as active as he ever was and is currently an ESPN/ABC analyst. The fact that Johnson fought through the virus for all these years is a testament to his character and inner-strength.

The documentary titled, “The Announcement,” will premiere on ESPN, Sunday at 9:00 p.m. EST.

If the Magic want young fast players as well as draft picks, why not the same feeling in the Lakers front office ???

Utah & New Jersey both have 2 low first round picks in the upcoming draft. Is there any chance the Lakers could send Kobe to the net’s for their two picks & also have Utah’s two picks thrown in by the Nets sending Brook to Utah ??? If the Nets had Kobe & Williams, D12 would sure as heck sign with them after he is a free agent….. The Lakers would lose Kobe but have a total of 6 first round picks that could without  question be turned into at least three great assets or maybe four or five….

Kobe wants more rings, he will NOT get them as a Laker, he would get them as a Net with Williams & D12. Kobe would LOVE to be the hero to go to NY & bring them a ring, he would jump as the chance so him accepting a trade is not the problem, the question is would Utah take Brook & a thrown in for their two first round picks so the Lakers could get all four ??? Remember they would not need Brook since D12 would run not walk to the Nets…..

Truth be told, Kobe is the best trade asset the Lakers have, not Pau. Kobe is the only player that could net major forst round picks from either of the NY teams & they are the best place for Kobe to end his days playing…

Mitch, Baby Buss, think of the salary that would open up, think of the young, fast, exciting team you would have & all of the team way below the tax problem you now have….. Think of also about then trading Pau for a few more picks. Think of dumping the 5 white amigos you have on the bench for real NBA players. Then to add frosting onto the cake, PLEASE get rid of Brown or demote him to a defense coach BUT not the head guy…(Seems to me with a young team there is a guy by the name of Brown that could come in & do a great job, or you could gamble & bring in a Boby Knight…
