Once again, Coach Dumbtoni keeping JHill & CKaman in the bench while Johnson and Kelly are getting killed by Pellicans PFs…tsk, tsk

    • Daryl Peek

Kelly is playing good ball, especially defensively but Wes is over matched by the Brow. Bottom line everyone is stinking defensively and Davis abuses Hill as Jordan does not have the foot speed to deal with him.

I’d rather see Kaman than Sacre tho

Sac showed some effort tonight. I loved his first foul on Davis.

He’s always gonna hustle. The problem is lack of athleticism and horrible offensive presence. Sacre is a goon who’ll give you 8-12 good gap stop fill minutes like a Reggie Evans but Robert lacks the rebounding prowess.

It drives me crazy how he cannot finish a point blank range dunk when someone just touches him? Big as he is he need to power through that love tap contact and bash on somebody!

I do love his hard foul mindset tho.

  • Terrell

Once again it is a damn lay up line to the hoop. People will always sing the praises of Pau and his offense tonight with his 27 or so pts, but gloss over the fact that he doesn’t do a lick in protecting the rim. I guess he’s exempt from playing defenese. Throw a body around and hit them as they drive, that way they at least will know next time that they will pay a price for driving to the lane.

Farmar and Marshall need to do a better job staying in front of their man also. Yes Gasol could do more but penetration means your guards are getting torched.

      • Josh

It’s sad that a young and 100% healthy Kendall Marshall is no better than an aged, injured, and one legged Steve Nash on defense. And I won’t eve get into his ugly jumper that if not tweaked, won’t be reliable down the road.

        • Daryl Peek

Marshall is on the verge of losing his starting gig. I like the kid but those deficiencies you point out are a major problem. and could be his demise with the Lakers. I liken it to Rajon Rondo. If Marshall had his defensive prowess his poor shooting would be a non issue.

Marshall is also awful as a finisher driving into the paint. No explosiveness at all.

    Yeah back on track! TANK!

Yup. They will be violated Thurs by the Clips, and then the next night at Denver which is arguably the toughest 2nd game of a back-to-back. 3 games with the Spurs left and 2 with OKC. Hopefully that win against Portland the other night doesn’t tip the odds and is the reason they go from a top 3 pick to outside the top 5 or worse.

    Good to see X back.

      Absolutely!

Just figured out who Bazemore reminds me of… he’s a taller Leandro (the Blur) Barbosa. They both put that head down and are difficult to stay in front of with that speed and are both ultra aggressive offensively. Both have freakishly long arms which helps them as defenders.

Bazmore is a keeper! I’m torn on Brooks and Nick Young. I think I’d rather go with Meeks & X over both of them. I like both Brooks and Young but the others fit the uptempo movement better, and are better defensively.
