Man, the team started out great. I thought we might have a chance but the last time I had the nerve to look we were down by 17. Mitch, was watching the game and he didn’t look happy at all. I know it’s to late, but I’m hoping we’re going to get rid of PRINGLES. We are getting a real beat down.

It’s more than the coach it’s the roster itself. The Lakers are getting out hustled by the so called slower paced team. Aside of having a slim roster they’re literally getting beat down inside. Whoever, believes that more than half the roster should return next season must be CRACK.

Best to bring back at best 5-6 players (the ones who show an all around game) and go after a starting PG, 2 PF’s, and a Center next season who play DEFENSE and show pride in the brand by way of their play. Otherwise, bank on the Lakers being the Knicks of this year. Aside of that the coach;s rotations speak for themselves too.

Considering a lot of players may not want to play for D’Antoni, i think it would be best to let him go for George Karl or Lionell Hollins, Hollins being my choice. As far the players go, i completely agree. We need players to represent the brand and play with heart. Games like this is unacceptable, and the blame goes fully around. The offseason cant come fast enough.

Shit not gonna change motha fs! Left the game early cause yall suck!

        • Matt Williams

Clippers are going to repeat the same fate for the past two years. Choke in the playoffs!

  • Lakers Fan

Well that was quick. Just when i thought we would make the game competitive, the Clippers blow the game open in the 2nd quarter. No defense, bad shot selections. Marshon Brooks is a horrible decision maker. This is awful. Only a handful of players need to be brought back. But first No D’Antoni needs to be replaced by Lionell Hollins.

    • Jim213

There’s better coaches than Hollins as even Byron Scott (at minimum temp) would do a better job.

I just want a coach that will force his players to play defense and force them to respect this organization, themselves, and him as a coach. We need someone to lead this team, especially in this rebuilding stage. D’Antoni is not going to cut it, and im not even talking about this game. Im speaking in general. Players are playing the way they are because the coach dont demand them to play harder. Gasol was right when he called him out about the discipline issue, although he certainly hasnt helped with his defense. We need a leader man.

        • Jim213

It’s more than the coach Bazemore and Brooks (bad game) have shown true effort. No excuses for these players to represent the brand. Half the roster has to go.. or the Lakers will be the Knicks of 2013-2014

        • Daspin

The poor defense is a reflection of the lineup. D’Antoni will never be a winner with his rebounds don’t matter type of play. Better players will have little impact on next years record if D’Antoni is still the head coach.

          • Chrmngblly

You sort of said two things at once, bro. But I have started to accept the “lack of discipline” being the coaches fault. Bad shooting can be players but not consistent bad D.

  • Matt Williams

I no longer take anyone who defends Mike D’Antoni seriously. I won’t argue with anyone or debate. HE SUCKS! #Fact

Losing is one thing, but these jackasses aren’t even putting up a fight. Yes, there’s a great disparity in talent and skill out there, but for F’s sake show some F’in pride. On this last alley oop tomahawk dunk by Griffin just now, Pau Gasol ( The so called leader.veteran voice of the team) and 3 other guys were just standing and made no F’n effort to get back. Enough has been said about MDA and I’ve said plenty myself, but the players tonight were pathetic.

but its not fair b/c dantoni doesn’t have a healthy team…..No shut up. I hate that bs excuse. He has professional players. dantoni is an infection on our team. I can’t stand this as a Laker fan. This team is not this bad. A real coach would have these guys playing hard. right now they look like they don’t care and that starts with the coach, who clearly can’t control this team. The Lakers must fire this guy tonight after the game and start the process of rebuilding.
Get a leader as head coach. someone that knows how to manage a team.
if the Lakers keep this guy they are dooming themselves and the rest of Kobe’s career.

    • Lakers Fan

This is EXACTLY what i just said. This team needs a leader, and it has to start at the head coaching position. Im just hoping that our FO realize this and get this problem taken care of.

    • Jim213

You brought it up in the summer and tho FO brought him back the masses had no choice but to #rollwithit The coach’s rotations are bad as Pau and Kaman combo would’ve kept it to less than a 25 point deficit. IMO

      STFU 3339 beeoch

      • 3339

i really must be special to you because everyone else here has basically said the same thing as me.

  • Mack

Unfortunately, give George Karl this same EXACT roster, and the results will be hardly any better.

  • TheTruthKills

The largest margin of defeat in franchise history…..to the Clippers. D’Antoni should be fired on the spot. The players played with zero heart out there.

  • Matt Williams

I bet my life on it. After tonight’s disgraceful game, Mitch Kupchak will make the decision to fire Mike D’Antoni. It’s the right thing to do. It’s what’s best for business.

    • TheTruthKills

I hope so. Keeping D’Antoni after a performance like this is unacceptable. If I wake up tomorrow and he’s still coaching Mitch needs to be fired and Jim Buss needs to go missing. I understand we’re not a good team, but as a fan I will not stand for this. D’Antoni has to go.

    • Chrmngblly

I agree accept for this: We still need a scapegoat for tanking the rest of the season. Can you think of a better patsy? What we could do is go hire Hollins to do a 3rd party review on a consulting basis. He should review the film and see what MDA is doing about it during practice. Why are those guys always out of position? MDA claims they are teaching defense 3/4 of the time. Why is the coaching so ineffective? It’s just a way to see what is going on and possibly accept Hollins’ suggestion by hiring him to implement his plan. They need to act. Maybe that is why Mitch was sitting with the team for part of the game.
