The Los Angeles Lakers will be playing the second game of a back-to-back on the road against the Houston Rockets. In their first meeting of the season, the Lakers came out on top with a late three-pointer by Steve Blake over Dwight Howard. The Lakers will continue to play with a thin roster and look to get their first win on this road trip as well as hand the Rockets their first loss of the new year.

The energy and execution is better so far. There were just a few bone headed plays by Meeks and Young. They have got to contain their emotion. They get too excited often times commits errors on the play.

Hey richard how about that block on Howard by Kaman? Looked like some good D from me, better then Gasols anyway

      • http://www.haveslot.com/ richard

It was just one play… look at the plays afterwards… specially starting the last 5 minutes of the game. you can’t just pick one play and make that as the overall description of a player’s performance. You are better than that.

So let me get this straight richard you don’t think Kaman makes a better defender than Gasol?? I would way rather have Kaman in there, at least he moves his feet and trys to block out for the rebounds, kinda a big problem on this team don’t you think there bud!! I’m not saying this guy defence player of the year, obviously. but I would rather Kaman in there defending our paint getting minutes over Sacre and williams. Wouldn’t you??

          • e3bonz

            Williams been waived.

          • Apex

Yeah but that still doesn’t mean were gonna see anymore of Kaman, D’antoni decided to put him in near the end of third quarter after we just got blown out again, like why not put the guy in at the beginning of the quarter for once, who knows maybe for once we don’t get destroyed, just a thought. And I know williams been waived but that was a couple of days ago, I’m refering to this entire season

Just like you said, “who knows…” that’s just too much experimenting… we have been past that. The coach has seen enough, don’t you think?

          • Apex

Your joking me right now right. who are you bud, that’s too much experimenting, so we shouldn’t put Kaman because that would be another experiment with this team, but instead let’s continue playing the rest of the season with the paint as the laughing stock of the nba…..wow, that is so dumb….

          • http://www.haveslot.com/ richard

If you watch the game up to the finish…and watch intently, you wouldn’t have commented like that about Kaman, I don’t see how putting Kaman on the starting lineup could help this team. He can help, but not by putting him on the starting lineup. Just saying.

          • Apex

Im not saying put him in the starting line up, buddy this guy has not played any minutes this year, the dude is itching to get out there and play. And then when he does get to play he so cold, and his will to play for this team has diminished. Give this guy minutes off the bench and guarntee he will make some impact which is better then know impact!! Our paint is a joke….

          • e3bonz

Someone here mentioned Kaman was in the doghouse for missing assignments and not being where was suppose to be. I’m not not sure if that is true, there were times I thought Chris could be used but wasn’t. Pau played very well tonight, but they stopped going to him in the third. The third was a turnover fest. I didn’t think I was the last to hear about Williams, but I guess so…

          • Apex

well whatever this team really sucks. And now were not gonna get deng….I have know idea what this team is up to, unless they purposely tanking….

          • http://www.haveslot.com/ richard

disagree that he is better defensively than Sacre… have you not seen how Sacre defended Howard in the first half one-on-one? I am not sure Kaman can defend on a regular basis, I have seen him in his tenure with the CLips. What did us this game was the turnovers in the 3rd quarter and Harden exploded offensively with the help of the whistle.

          • Apex

yeah well I finally agree with that since idk it goes without saying. However this has been a problem all year long, not just tonight….I really don’t think it could hurt to put Kaman in and get him some minutes, he may not be able to play a whole lot of minutes, um but if you haven’t been watching the games this year, he has played barley any minutes…..I think we have crystal clear problems on this team, and yeah I’m sure he could slow down our 3rd “quarter blues” and help out in the paint…..you really couldn’t do any worse then we have……come on now your better then that

          • http://www.haveslot.com/ richard

I didn’t say that we shouldn’t play Kaman, I just said that Kaman does not give us something that is beyond what we are getting right now from other players on the team. Of course I want to see him play. But to say that the outcome could have been different if Kaman is given considerable minutes is too shallow an argument.

          • Apex

well I guess you and I will just have to agree to disagree. I really don’t think Sacre is that good….and I think thats where you and I see things differently. But either way it’s really Gasol’s defence that has hurt us all year long…..but as far as a shallow argument goes (sigh) at this point we don’t know and considering how it’s the same bs story night after night you would have to be extremely stubborn to not want to try….It’s not like were throwing in a d leaguer in there we would be putting a veteran in. I don’t follow your so called logic on that being a shallow argument. But saying that its a shallow argument is cute lol

Another 3rd quarter blow out, f##k it I’m not even gonna finish the 4th quarter!! So annoyed!!!

  • http://www.haveslot.com/ richard

turnovers did us this game… that 3rd quarter was just brutal. no energy that resulted into turnovers and mis plays.

  • mamba

sad part is even after playing such bad basketball, Lakers record is better than 9-10 teams in the nba .. smh

  • LakersHeatBeef

The team played hard in the first half but ran out of gas in the second half.SMH!
