why the hell C.Kaman is not playing???he’s a very good player, always play good when he get a chance,he should be in the starting lineup…..

    • Gregory Choa

Because, Ryan Kelly is playing really well and the team is playing a lot better with him in the starting lineup…

      • Daryl Peek

Agreed but I’d like to see Kaman be the first big off the bench when Gasol rests. I love Sacre’s energy but he’s too much of an offensive liability and is not much better than Kaman if at all.

        • Gregory Choa

Yeah, well, my sense regarding Kaman’s benching is that the Lakers are trying to develop this “true grit” identity, and Chris is something of an anti-grit kinda guy…
BTW, as I said in the preview thread, D.J. Augustin is absolutely picking the Lakers apart in this game…we have no answer for him…

          • Daryl Peek

Augustine is hurting us but the boards is the bigger problem again. Sacre is not even really hitting the boards but he has been good defensively blocking shots.

        • Danny E. Pagan

I kinda disagree there, Sacre sets better screens. He is def better setting good solid picks and then is also better rolling to the basket. He is also very poised and under control while Kaman can be more of a maverick out there. I would like more playing time for Jordan Hill tough.

Overall, i like what D’antoni is doing with the bigs putting Gasol/Kelly together and then pairing up Sacre and Hill. He’s maximizing the offense from the 4-5 first when Young is out, then maximising the defense when Young is in. I thought maybe down the stretch he could’ve subbed in Hill for Kelly but Kelly actually played well down the stretch even getting a charge and it was really Pau who I thought kinda came up short at the end tonight. Tough, tough loss to take.

          • Daryl Peek

I like Pau and Kelly together. Sacre is more active in the PNR but is just too much of a liability offensively for my taste. We often see lulls when he’s on the floor where Kaman would be able to create a shot and actually pose as a threat offensively.

        very tough L :(

  • Gregory Choa

First OT session of the season!

    • Gregory Choa

      SIGH…heartbreaker…

      • Daryl Peek

        Yeah this one SUCKS

  • e3bonz

This one breaks my heart, we had the game won several times, then to let it slip away when up by 5 with only minutes left in OT.

  • Danny E. Pagan

Really tough watching Gasol come up small play after play down the stretch after playing so big for most of the game. :(

    • e3bonz

It was because of “give Pau the ball and stand around watching”, where were the cutters?

      • Danny E. Pagan

it never is Pau’s fault isn’t it?! It’s always D’antoni and the other guys isn’t? C’mon man, he blew the game, had an awesome game all game, then had like 3 straight TOs and misses down the stretch when they ask him to close the game, then allowed Gibson to score on the final play. It was tough to watch man.

        • e3bonz

Pau did great tonight, so did Nick, so did Kelly, so did Meeks. It’s never MDA or the other guys, it’s the team, the team that wins, the team that loses. At least IMHO.

          • Danny E. Pagan

I like that way of thinking man but it was still tough to watch Pau not being able to close the game out and not make good plays in crunch time when put in that position.

          • e3bonz

Yeah, my point was, we have one of the best passing big men in the game, who’s not selfish. Give him the ball then, cut to the basket or get open to the three point line, he will pass out.

          • e3bonz

My opinion is no one play loses the game, it’s all the missed opportunities that make the loss. And yes, it was tough to watch Pau miss those shots.

    • Daryl Peek

Pau made some bad decisions at crucial moments down the stretch (Sigh)

  • The Lakers Tank Commander

Lakers lost record is 16-26.Tank status the Lakers pick 9th.Moved up 1 spot.Tank!

  • Daryl Peek

KM5 had his first really bad game and Johnson was never with us?

    • C*HarrisTHEboss

When he plays against opposing PG’s with any real talent he gets exposed for who and what he is – the only games he has done well is against old or subpar players and blowouts (Trey Burke, Jose Calderon, a broken Rajon Rondo and the clipper blowout)

  • e3bonz

Any thoughts on the next ten games? Possible 8-2.

  • Ooby Kid
