LeBron On Kobe’s Return From Injury: ‘It’s Fun Having Him Back’

The Los Angeles Lakers battled hard against the Cleveland Cavaliers, but the team could not find a way to defeat LeBron James and company. Fans were treated with a great back-and-forth between Kobe and James, but the Cavs forward got the last laugh with a 109-102 victory.

Bryant had a stellar game in which he recorded a new career-high in assists with 17. Kobe finished the night with 19 points, 17 assists and six rebounds, but did miss a crucial free-throw late which would have made it a one possession game.

Nevertheless, it was nice seeing Bryant and James having fun on the court together and after the game James spoke to the media and talked about what it means to compete against the five-time champion, via Lakers Nation reporter Serena Winters:

Bryant has been dealing with injuries in the latter stages of his career and there is no doubt his time in the NBA is coming to an end. As perhaps the greatest player of this generation, there is a lot Kobe has accomplished and fans will forever remember what he has done for the league.

James and Kobe have had a close bond for some time now and those two shared great Olympic memories to go along side countless All-Star games. With LeBron himself entering the second half of his career, it was refreshing seeing two legends on the court Thursday night.
