Lakers Vs. Thunder VIDEOS: Kendall Marshall, Wes Johnson, Shawne Williams

The Los Angeles Lakers lost to the Oklahoma City Thunder Thursday night, despite leading by as many as 15 points. The Lakers couldn’t be criticized for their lack of effort in this one. Six of the eight available Lakers scored in double-digits and five Lakers starters scored at least 13 points.

Kendall Marshall had a career-tying 17 assists and is ready to rest during All-Star weekend. Mike D’Antoni applauded his players’ effort and just hopes they can be rewarded. Shawne Williams isn’t accepting moral victories, and Wes Johnson talks about the challenge of guarding Kevin Durant. My big takeaway from last night’s stalwart effort against the Thunder, aside from the Lakers generally never-say-die attitude, was the play of Kendall Marshall…talk about a keeper!?!? I realize that there are a BUNCH of guys on one year deals playing for contract with the Lakers next season, but Marshall IMO is perhaps the most deserving – the dude can BALL!

I really hope we see none of these guys next year and actually get some winners

The question is simple, who should the Lakers try & keep for next year & beyond. Well first off out of even player in the team only marshall should be kept. (Farmar, Meeks, Young, Hill, Kaman, Nash, Johnson, Williams, Blake, Henry as well as the high school coach we have running the team all need to go…I would love to see us simply get picks, the hell with winning next year, go for the 2015 free agents & have team that has all rookies next year meaning we could get another super pick by a trade….

thankfully you aren’t a GM or even the ball boy for that matter !!!!
