The Lakers will look to get back on the winning track tonight against blake griffin and the l.A. Clippers. Chris paul is listed as a game time decision while their center, deandre jordan, is tied with javale mcgee in leading the n-b-a in blocked shots with 3 per game.
Right now the lakers remain one game behind the clippers in the pacific division….But are out of the playoff picture.
If the post season started today…the lakers would be in tenth place in the western conference behind portland……houston……dallas…..San antonio……utah…..Memphis…..The clippers……denver…..And the oklahoma city thunder at the top.
Remember it’s been over a decade since a laker team not coached by phil jackson made the playoffs. And the lakers surprising 10-8 record has a lot to do with their struggling offense….Which is the worst 3-point shooting team in the league. Do the lakers need to make a trade to get kobe help? Can superman come and save the day? Not if the new york knicks swipe him before the lakers can pull the trigger.
According to stephan a. Smith, the orlando magic have contacted the knicks about swapping howard for tyson chandler and amare stoudemire. The trade would make sense for the knicks since stoudemire and carmelo anthony have had chemisty issues. The magic have denied the report….And howard’s agent has not been given permission to speak with the knicks.
