Lakers Rumors: Metta World Peace Possibly Out For Season

After suffering a meniscus tear in his left knee on his left knee in Monday’s loss to the Golden State Warriors, it seems that Metta World Peace might not see the court for the rest of the season.

According to ESPN L.A.’s Dave McMenamin, Mike D’Antoni isn’t exactly expecting to see World Peace back on the court this season.

That’s not exactly encouraging.

To make things even more interesting, this could mean we never see World Peace in a Lakers uniform again. He recently discussed the possibility of opting out of his contract at the end of the season. That coupled with the rumors of the team using their amnesty clause on him in the off-season seem to indicate that we may have seen the artist formerly known as Ron Artest suit up for the Lakers for the last time.
