Howard is already on the fence about returning to the Los Angeles Lakers and will seriously considering signing with the Houston Rockets, but now the Golden State Warriors have also emerged as a legitimate candidate according to Mark Medina of the LA Daily News:

Dwight Howard is considering signing with the Golden State Warriors as well as the previously reported Los Angeles Lakers, Houston Rockets, Dallas Mavericks and Atlanta Hawks, a source close to the player said Thursday.

According to the source, Howard’s main concern involves “what team he feels has the best chance to win championships, has the best team and system around him.”

The Warriors were considered an option for Howard via trade while still with the Orlando Magic. Golden State expressed interest in Howard, but were unable to provide the right pieces in return to land the superstar center.

With the Warriors having a breakout season with Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and David Lee helping turn the struggling franchise around, it’s comes as no surprise that Howard would consider signing with a team ready to contend. Howard may very well be the missing piece to the puzzle for the Warriors and an intriguing option for the soon-to-be free agent.

Although the Lakers still appear to be the favorite to sign Howard, there’s no telling which direction this seemingly never ending saga will go from here on out. Golden State may very well go from a long shot to a strong contender for Howard’s services with a little more than a month left before free agency begins in July.

People DH is not skin g anything wrong, he is checking out options it’s a normal process. Most players look at other options during g this process. You ppeople might as well push him out the door with your comments

Can hardly understand what you wrote. But I am sure DH is paying attention to what we write..lol

The Warriors cannot sign him for a max contract. If all the players with player options decline that would put them at 48 million. If the the luxury threshold is 60 million this season, which seems high, that would leave them 12 million to sign him with. Unless they deal players away and take back nothing, he would be taking a big pay cut. This is again, rumors being stirred up by teams that want him to leave. Stop posting this crap.

Another rumor to get the Laker fans all worked up. As long as the Lakers are on his short list then Dwight is still ok with me. Paul George and D12 will both be Lakers in 2014!

You Lakers Fans are hilarious! You aren’t even #1 in your own arena!
It’s not about what you had. It’s about what you have now, and it ain’t much.
