Lakers Rumors: C.J. Miles Interested in Joining Lakers

By | July 31, 2012|

The Los Angeles Lakers are looking to add more talent to their bench and according to reports, the team may acquire C.J. Miles. Miles last played for the Utah Jazz and he was a dynamic part of their rotation. Miles is an athletic guard who can surely help the Lakers as a reserve.

Miles averaged nine points and two rebounds per game last season for the Jazz. Although he did not fill up the box score, he did the dirty work for Utah and won over the hearts of the people in Salt Lake City.

Although the Lakers cannot offer Miles a lucrative deal, he is still very interested in signing with the team. Miles is willing to take a pay cut as long he is able to compete for an NBA title.

I honestly thought CJ Miles was trash too, and part of me still thinks so. But I do remember multiple games against the Lakers where CJ has shown up by hitting threes, attacking the rim, and drawing fouls. So he’s be a good swing man, probably an upgrade from Eyenga and perhaps even the veteran Matt Barnes.

They should get cj miles he can take over for world peace they should get him and still get jodie meeks

  • Adeshabazz

Any body from that Utah squad is a steal.  Brewer, Millsap, Miles, maybe even Korver in his prime tho… Meeks is wack, we need an athletic swing guard who can D UP! Make it happen mitch!!

  • Logan Lahmi

he has got bad stats for me own opinion , i think barbosa , meeks or delifino are best options ..

    • Timmytann9

Stats dont tell the whole story. If stats told the whole story, O. Robertson is the greatest player of all time and Wilt chamberlain > Michael Jordan.

CJ Miles is a hustler, athletic as fuhhhhk, and can hit the 3.

      Sound like someone we know?

Sign miles with the mini-mid, and sign Meeks with the veterans minimum and we’re all set! :D

Miles is a dominant player he can also play the 3 he will be a good pick and he got good range but lakers should get a more of a defensive player

  • LA2k13

Get him or barbosa.. One home One show #Lakeshow

  • Hayk

CJ Miles would be a great add. He was a decent fantasy FA pickup last year, and that’s on a crappy Utah team. He can have a breakout season with the Lakers on a 1 or 2 year contract because he’ll get a lot of open looks.

If your Miles, the formula is: Join a team as stacked as the Lakers, look damn good playing for them, and rake in a solid 3 or 5 year contract after since you’re only 25. Shannon Brown, Jordan Farmar, pulled similar scripts.

In the mean time, we get Miles for nothing for a year or two and a spot-up shooter/defender. Which we desperately need.
