Lakers Rumors: Andrew Bynum is Top Trade Target for Orlando’s Dwight Howard

By | July 3, 2012|

According to Yahoo Sports’ Adrian Wojnarowski, the Orlando Magic are now looking at options around the league with the focus being the Laker’s, Andrew Bynum. With the New Jersey Nets taking themselves out of the running yesterday, Dwight Howard has just been served a big blow to his desire to become a Brooklyn Net.

Worries of Howard’s back surgery, as well as his public statement of testing free agency after this upcoming season, makes Laker fans wary of trading for the league’s reigning best center.

It is a wash. Trading defense for offense. Byunum picked the D up towards the end last year as well so I would say trust your Drew. Think of the confidence he will have next year when he sees that we turned down a trade for Howard to keep him!!!!

Don’t trade bynum for howard its clear that he don’t want to be in LA that means he wouldn’t sign an extension.

humphries is a ufa so if he wants to be in orlando then the deal will happen if he signs else where then they have to find someone else to sign and trade

We lost to jason terry bostosn.
    lakers too slowly.

The Boston Celtics just hit the hiring of veteran Jason Terry, unrestricted free agent who played the last eight seasons with the Dallas Mavericks jersey. According Marc J. Spears, the site Yahoo! Sports, the agreement will last three seasons and provides salary of about $ 5 million per year.

i think they should go after jameer nelson and jamaal crawford and resign jordan hill. keep paul and bynum that would be enough. dont sign session back he did not show any heart. you can keep mwp in the starting line up and let jamaal crawford be your points off the bench

Personally, I think the Lakers should keep Andrew. I’m sick and tired of Dwight Howard and his inability to make a decision. Besides, he’s already stated multiple times that he woudn’t sign an extension with LA, he doesn’t want to follow Shaq’s legacy, and he doesn’t want to play second fiddle to Kobe.

Trade Bynum and Artest for Howard and Jameer Nelson with a sign and trade, that would put us on the top again…

Lakers have already said if Howard dont sign an extension…No deal. So its totally up to Dwight. Also keep in mind that Dwight will miss about 1 month of the season because if his surgery, who knows what the Lakers record will be then. I dont think the lakers can take a chance even if Howard signs an extension, his back will be suspect.
