Lakers Post-Game VIDEOS: Nick Young Calls Himself Swaggy Rambo

Without Kobe Bryant, Steve Nash, Steve Blake or Jordan Farmar, the Lakers managed to bind together without a point guard and beat Kevin Love and the Minnesota Timberwolves, 104-91 Friday night. Nick Young scored in double figures (25) for his 12th consecutive game and the Lakers bench outscored the Minnesota reserves 35 to 19. Xavier Henry, who played the Lakers point guard for the majority of the game scored 21 points in his first career game as a point guard. Pau Gasol was just two assists shy of recording the eighth triple double of his career.

It was the Lakers 11th different starting lineup of the season, but everything worked out in the Lakers’ favor and Lakers fans rejoiced in their teams renewed energy. Check out our Lakers post-game videos below and don’t forget to subscribe to our Lakers Nation YouTube Channel!

Love the energy and positivity that comes from Nick Young. He’s really accepted and knows his role and is a great addition to the Lakers franchise. Hope he will be here in the future!

He is better than Joe johnson, etc, I’ll take him over Melo. Having Young & Henry who can take over the game makes the Lakers a contender! If only Kobe plays along in this fast ball movement, they are surely a contender!!!! Because they almost beat the Blazers & spurs, atlanta. They beat the Clippers, the warriors, wolves, nuggets, rockets, pelicans.

The secret to Dantoni system is they become a team bully, they keep attacking, penetrating the defense, they make any opponents to work hard chasing, the opponents are disoriented & the Lakers become upredictable. It doesnt matter if they are against Heat or Pacers, or thunder. The problem to the opposite offense like Gasol posting up more, kobe playing 1 on 1 is the opponents are resting when defending just two players! the opponents star players will have more energy because they are not guarding Kobe or Gasol for example (Sefolosha/Perkins that guards them) Durant & Westbrook are rested in defense. But if the all the Lakers are cutting & moving then Durant & westbrook will be involved too in defense, then less energy in their offense!!!!!
We need to develop sacre as a shot blocker!!!!

I don’t know if Nick will ever be a Super Star BUT he is sure as heck super fun to watch & if he keeps his present pace on the floor, he “should sure as heck get a long term deal” Some players like Henry are ok BUT not fun to watch, Hill is another player who if things continue should get a long term deal. (Both could also be traded for picks if necessary) The Lakers have to continue this type of play until the 2015 free agents come onto the market, players like Irving, Love, Westbrook, Walker, Wall & so on. The ONLY player available now is Greg Monroe & that’s if the Pistons want to let him go. The ONLY two centers in the league that I would love to see in purple & gold are Brook Lopez & Greg Monroe. The rest of our future team needs to come in 2015 & the 1st rounder we will get next year….(Now if Mitch can trade Gasol, Nash, Blake, Kaman all for draft picks in the upcoming draft, go for it Mitch. Philly has 4 picks, work with them… Maybe Gasol, & Kaman for Monroe, or Gasol & Blake or all three of them for Monroe or Brook Lopez, hell NJ is a joke…Lastly not sure if it is possible but Waiters would be a great pick up for the Lakers if they could get him…

Disagree with your view on X. He’s playing the 1 position and needs to be more consistent as aside of Wes X is the other highlight reel.
