Lakers News: Time Warner Agrees to Deal with Cox Cable

By | November 4, 2012|

Fans of the Los Angeles Lakers that are currently with Cox Cable will now be able to watch their favorite team from home. According to the latest press release from the Lakers:

EL SEGUNDO – Time Warner Cable SportsNet and Time Warner Cable Deportes and Cox Communications have agreed to terms. Launch details will be announced shortly.

Unfortunately, Cox Cable is not the last domino to fall, as arguably the biggest sports network, DirecTV, has yet to agree to a deal with Time Warner.

Other notable networks that have reached deals with Time Warner are AT&T U-Verse, Verizon Fios and Charter Cable.

It seems that DirecTV is more than willing to hold out on Time Warner and possibly not even make a deal to start airing the new channel. Only time will tell if DirecTV ultimately agrees to Time Warner’s proposed deal.
