According to ESPN’s Marc Stein, the Los Angeles Lakers will meet with Anthony next week:

Anthony, who maintains an offseason home in Los Angeles, is also expected to meet with the Los Angeles Lakers face-to-face next week.

The Lakers will be one of four teams to meet with Anthony as has plans to meet with the Chicago Bulls this Tuesday, and both the Houston Rockets and Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday.

Los Angeles is facing some stiff competition as both the Bulls and Rockets boast multiple All-Stars on their roster while the Mavericks have Anthony’s former teammates in New York, Tyson Chandler and Raymond Felton. Then of course, there are the New York Knicks who have already met with Anthony and have a new foundation in president Phil Jackson and head coach Derek Fisher.

The Lakers are trying to rebuild the team as quickly as possible and Anthony would go a long way towards getting the Lakers back into title contention. But if they do fail to get Anthony, the Lakers have a backup plan and could target a number of different players such as Kyle Lowry, Greg Monroe, and Chandler Parsons.

    Damn shit just got interesting….

    • LakersHeatBeef

Excerpts from the L.A. Times article PER Mike Bresnahan.

Gasol has said numerous times that his main priority is playing for a title-contending team. He will meet with Oklahoma City, Chicago and Golden State and might also sit down with the Lakers, the team that has employed him since acquiring him from Memphis in February 2008

” Lakers General Manager Mitch Kupchak said last week. “As long as Kobe [Bryant] is on this team, we have to believe that we can contend for a championship.”

If the Lakers fail to land James or Anthony, they will not go on a spending spree for second-tier free agents such as Luol Deng and Kyle Lowry. The Lakers are keeping their eye on Kevin Love possibly becoming a free agent next summer and Kevin Durant the year after that.

To maintain their salary-cap flexibility, the Lakers will consider Deng and Lowry only if they take a sensible rate over a relatively short period — one or two years at the most.

      • Zimmeredge

If melo or lebron are in they will bring back Pau.

  • vdogg

gordon hayward should be mentioned as well as a back up plan for a free agent SF. he is a RFA and utah may be willing to let him go seeing as how they just drafted rodney hood.

    • Chris Park

Sources say that Utah are willing to match any offer in-order to keep Hayward

      • vdogg

really? ok.. thanks for the info. appreciated.

      • cj

the knicks said they would match any offer up to a bill on lin and look how that turned out. alot of teams say this in order to keep teams off of their young players.

        • Elvis Wu

          True story

    • Al

Ya Lakers need a backup plan because Carmelo is going to play for The Chicago Bulls as he has a midnight eastern time meeting with the Bulls FO.The meeting at midnight has always proved to bode well for the team meeting the player. The Lakers have no midnight free agency meeting as far as we know that could and should change.Chances are Utah matches anything a team offer Gordon Hayward they love him.Lakers need to get aggressive in free agency. It’s the pivotal time of year come July 1.

      • Zimmeredge

Having a meeting at the beginning of the fa does not mean any thing. He will end his little trip across America with the Lakers. So he expects us to make a change of heat offer to him. It’s just geography Man knicks, chi, Dallas, la… East to west that´s all….
He can’t be a bulls because bulls have cap issues and if they sort things out with booz and go after melo they wońt be able to hire a decent bench.

  • RodneyKingLaker

Well you compare us to other teams we don’t have ass much. Kobe Bean Bryant = to the GOAT. A Fresh rookie with big time potential and that’s it……
Hopfully we could get Paul Gasol back for cheap and then Anthony would come.

    • rodneyKingLaker

      as much*

    • vdogg

all that.. and being a laker. living in LA beats the piss out of residing in texas or freezing your ass of in chicago. and NY won’t be winning anytime soon. melo could make us into a force to be reckoned with. and he an kobe are great friends! their wives are also good friends.. it makes too much sense.

      • RodneyKingLaker

I would rather live in Texas than California no problem If we want to get into politics and such ;) …. In my mind it makes sense for him to come here and i hope he sees it. I can understand why he wouldn’t come here too…..there is some other damn good options.

        • vdogg

have you ever been to houston? it’s a hole in the ground. give me cali any and every day. beautiful weather, beautiful women, laker tradition.

          • RodneyKingLakers

Your right on all that. This state is a Love hate relationship ask any one. Besides the women here people are ass wholes politics have ruined this state to the make…. Trust me i love Lakers if i had the money i would go to every game instead i have to watch on tv. This state is falling apart.

          • RodneyKingLakers

we got people trying to pass minium wage to $13 bucks hours smh

          • vdogg

well the dollar stretches pretty far in dallas, that’s for sure. but i wouldn’t live there if i had the choice… and i do!

          • comrade24

Too many redneck fundamentalists in Texas.

          • comrade24

the adjusted minimum wage from 1967 is $17.50 an hour. Min. wage hasn’t kept up with inflation, especially in California.

          • MustardsOffTheHotDog

I’ve noticed that the California women who live near the beaches are gorgeous. But as you move inland…LOL

          • keenanjen

Let me tell you Houston is chocolate city. Alot of blacks are moving out there. For most African American players they love it out there. However I feel you when you say nothing beats L.A.

          • comrade24

Houston is the worst city on the planet. been there, seen that. ugh

        • jt3z

I agree i live in CA ans it is terrible here. Grandma used to live in TEX and she wants to go back.

          • vdogg

well it’s a free country. leave and take grammy with you.

          • jt3z

Calm down kiddo Just because someone doesnt agree with you doesnt mean you have to be an asshole.

          • vdogg

who is being an asshole? i was simply saying that you’re bound by nothing, and that’s what makes america great. perhaps you’re the one who needs a timeout.

      • TheTruthKills

Texas doesn’t have state income tax. I’d take that. Price of living isn’t cheap out here in California.

        • J Taylor

With $19M per year, does it matter?

          • triton

I dunno-$2,300,000.00 in taxes is still a big bite.

        • comrade24

Texas is full of ignorant, gun toting, bible thumping rednecks.

      • Sith Kavorkian

True. Melo on the West in Hollywood, Lebron on the East in sunny Miami; both drafted in same class… Melo has a chance to silence all critics by coming to LA.

  • LakersHeatBeef

This is the home run we all been talking about.Come on now in one Summer Carmelo+Julius Randle+Pieces that’s EPIC.Love Kobe for this 1,thank Kobe+Mitch and Jim Buss.

    • vdogg

i hope it happens, man. i really do. having that stud rookie at PF is huge now, isn’t it?

      • LakersHeatBeef

I’m in love with our big rookie as a basketball player.Julius Randle is a man child and he is huge in this quest for a championship.Carmelo+Randle is unstoppable.Add in Kobe the GOAT and then fit in our pieces we will keep acquiring and we are set for the next 3-5 years.

        • J Taylor

The key is adding Gasol as Center and PF backup.
That’s the power team the front office is eying.

          • Zimmeredge

I wouldn’t mind if they go after Pau or Okafor if healthy. Monroe is a good choice too but we need someone to Anchor the team down on low on d. A glue guy.
I’d like to have the pieces like Steven Adams or Rudy gobert. Gobert is an outstanding shot blocker. Great rebounder and overall d with his athleticism.

    • Sean

Thank them for what? only thing that has happened so far is drafting Randle.

      • LakersHeatBeef

Well i am just saying thank them for not drafting some terrible player and then saying oh we got no meeting set up with any star player and then they never bring in any good value rookies like Jordan Clarkson and DeAndre Kane.Just thank them for at least trying to be good not like some teams that never ever even go for it.

    • TheTruthKills

Thank them for what? Melo hasn’t signed with us, Randle hasn’t proven anything on the NBA level, and Kobe hasn’t proved he’s healthy yet. Let’s hold off on the thank yous until we see who’s on this roster and who plays up to expectations.

    • kookiebuger

I doubt Melo is that interested he is meeting with the Bulls on Tuesday (the 1st day of free agency), and the Rockets and Mavs on Wednesday.

      • J Taylor

Bulls have to clear cap space, and the fact that Rose chose Love over Melo has to be taken into consideration.
Rockets need to clear space and have an uphill battle to do so.
        Mavericks have Dirk….
Lakers and NYC are (kinda) last men standing as the former mentioned 3 should still be considered long shots and are not guaranteed.

      • Jim Busst

Melo has said this decision is more then basketball, he said in an interview about a month ago “I have kids and a family, it’s not only about where I’m going to play, it’s do I want my family and kids to live and grow up in that kind of place” and Chicago is the Murder Capital, I don’t think he wants to go to Chicago and live there for 4-5 years, and I don’t think his wife does either, or other cities that are “boring”. That’s why I think Melo is going to stay in NY or come to LA, and LA is the only team that’s guarenteeing him that in a couple years the team is going to be HIS, DRose or Harden & Howard aren’t going to say it’s his team. And also Melo wants a ring, Kobe has 5 and wants the 6th more then any other player, more then the Spurs wanted to beat Miami this year, Kobe’s obsessed with getting a 6th ring, I think if the supporting cast he gets presented at the Lakers meeting is worthy of contending he’d rather come to LA then Chicago. And also cuz DRose is soft compared to Kobe, Melo won’t have to worry about Kobe sitting out games and exaggerating injuries. But it all depends on the roster Mitch shows him

        • kookiebuger

You realize that he’s rich right? Melo wouldn’t have to worry about crime or anything like that. Melo wants to win a championship a 36 year old Kobe (a lot of question marks) and a 30 year old Melo I don’t see that will be enough to beat the Spurs,OKC,Houston, Clippers as favorites in the West plus they will have to go through the Warriors,Portland, Mavs,Memphis,and/or the Suns and Pelicans in the 1st/2nd round. The East is a joke compared to the West I’m pretty sure he knows this with the only competition being the Heat and maybe the Pacers if they don’t blow it up and play like they did in the start of the season, he would be joining the DPOY in Noah on a team that made it to the 2nd round (2 years ago) and the 1st round (this year) without Rose they just need a scorer compared to the Lakers with Kobe,Nash,Sacre, and Randle. who finished with the 6th worst record. On all the teams he is interested in (Bulls,Rockets,Lakers) he will have to sacrifice game regardless so I doubt that’s going to stop him from looking at those teams.

      • Zimmeredge

Have you ever heard about geography? Knicks chi Dallas Houston la. East to west simple and plain explanation on why he will visit them at first. Also we have the upper hand because we will Know what other teams have offered him and they wońt.
Except the bulls and rockets to go after ariza. Rockets after frye because they want a stretch four. Bulls after avery bradley or stephenson.
They can only offer 16m at Max. And after that they wońt be able to do anything else. Rockets dońt need another big boy with harden and dwight they need better defenders and role players. Bulls need a scorer so they might also go after parsons or hayward instead of melo. There are more targets cap-wise and roster-wise.

  • justin8135

Kobe will convince him to come to LA. Cant say the same for Bron.

    • vdogg

i’m with julius. i don’t want lebron. i want to beat lebron. i love this kid already. he could seriously be a 25 and 15 guy eventually.

      • guest

You realize that in the past 35 years nobody has averaged 25 and 15. That’s a ridiculous number to throw out.

        • vdogg

ok, 25 and 12. relax. we’re gonna get through this.

          • Zimmeredge

Although i believe he will be able to go after that kind of stats 2-3y after entering the league. He will start on the bench for his rookie season just like Kobe. It seems that jordan Hill will not get back into the team so we will need scoring and rebounds out of the bench from him. Expect him to play 25-30 minutes like Nick young. At last he will have the opportunity to shine fully. If he is starting with Kobe melo and Pau he wońt see the ball that much. For that reason i’ll bring back wes Johnson as our starting three (melo playing 4). We need shooters and great defender at the third spot and first spot. Role guys. Good in the corners and behind the arc as melo, Kobe and Pau rely a lot on the inside outside game.
By po Time randle will be a starter tho. As we need better and bigger half court presence.

          • vdogg

no way is he beginning the season on the bench. if he is healthy, pencil him in as a starter.

        • Badazztj12

didn’t kevin love average that last year?

      • MustardsOffTheHotDog

NBA owes us a superstar after stealing Chris Paul from us. Might as well be LeBron.

        • TheTruthKills

Owe us? You say that like they can force someone to sign with us.

          • MustardsOffTheHotDog

I wasn’t expecting anyone to take that literally. I just mean that as a Laker fans, we are due to catch a personnel break.

  • justin8135

I wanna see Ariza back on our team, too!!

    • vdogg

if melo comes, ariza won’t. i’d rather re-sign bazemore for cheap. dude has potential and plays with heart.

      • J Taylor

Melo isn’t a lock down defender on SF’s and wing guys.

        • Zimmeredge

You’ll have to wait for po to judge that. Anyway, With Kobe melo and Pau we are meant to be a half court/po team and less an open court.

  • vdogg

today on twitter, kobe re-followed pau gasol, followed julius randle, followed carmelo anthony and followed deandre kane. ok, so i’m kidding about the last one. but the others are true. does kobe know something we don’t? you have to figure that kobe and melo are close enough that kobe pretty much knows which way carmelo is leaning.

    • KwonGuerillaCross

Kobe’s only following Melo so he can unfollow him when he doesn’t sign lol…For real though I hope we get Melo. I think him and Kobe would work great together.

      • vdogg

        same here.

    • LakerLore

he followed dwight on twitter too and that worked out really great for us didn’t it…

      • vdogg

true, but something tells me kobe and melo are a bit tighter than kobe and dwight ever were.

        • independentbynature

Dwight and Kobe were like snake and mongoose…LOL.

          • Zimmeredge

Yeah Kobe and dwight didn’t have the same approach and philosophy about the game. Dwight was too fun loving about the game. Melo seems to be a bit more serious about the game.

          • comrade24

            i say dingo and baby.

  • Ashy

Melo isn’t coming to L.A., let’s not get our hopes up. Let’s focus our attention elsewhere, folks.

    • J Taylor

      why?
LA probably has a better chance than Bulls, Rockets, and Mavericks because they don’t have to clear space and dump contracts.

      • Zimmeredge

Or resign good bench players. I mean Dj Augustin and Jimmy butler are Ufa this summer and in 15. If melo comes in they won’t be able to give them something better than vet contract.
Bulls are stupid. They should Amnesty boozer and go after hayward, parsons or ariza and then go after someone like stephenson or bradley and then build a decent bench.
It´s a 3 ways battre to get melo. Knicks and Lakers head to head and heat are contender as well if the big three can’t agree with their fo. Bosh out melo in.
But we have the upper hand with Kobe, randle and Pau likely to sign a two year extension with us.

  • Al Haldie

MITCH: Don’t waste to much time on MELO -JAMES and miss out on a chance to get FA that you want..

  • chitown_Laker

I think if the Lakers provide him a good game plan, surround Melo with good role players with Kobe we got something Lowry,Monroe

  • LakerLore

can we please stop the crack pipe dreams? melo wants to win a ring. the closest thing he’ll get to a ring in LA is polishing Kobe’s rings. he’s not coming. neither is lebron, bosh, or lowry. they want to win and we’re not winning for a very long time.

    • J Taylor

      Really?
Kobe, Pau, Randle, and Melo is a pretty good team.
Add Young, Bazemore, Henry, Carleson, Marshall, Farmar ….
I think the above mentioned team is A LOT better than you realize.

      • independentbynature

I do think that Pau would be good alongside Randle.Finesse and physicality.

  • LegendInMyMind

I’m not sold on Carmelo and Kobe forming an effective tandem. And neither of them play defense anymore, despite having the ability to do so.

    • J Taylor

Kobe Defense… how do you know? You haven’t seen Kobe play in 18 months. And sure, he’s older, and might not take the #1… but with Melo, Pau, Randle, Kobe, and Young the offense will help smooth out defensive issues.

      • LegendInMyMind

His last full season, the one with Dwight, he was lighting it up offensively. But he was playing very passively defensively in order to save his energy to be able to do that. I don’t expect that to change. He can still ball hawk when he wants to, but he’s not locking people down the way he used to.

And I don’t think it’s unreasonable for me to expect certain dropoffs in his game at this stage in his career, coming off of the type of injury that is career threatening. He’s not gonna magically be BETTER and more athletic on defense post-Achilles tear. Just ain’t happening. He’s going to have to change his entire game. Again. Remember Jordan at 40?

  • Lakers4Life

We’re getting that much closer to seeing LeBron and Melo on the floor with Kobe! What a dream trio that would be. Ahh, can’t wait for July 1st and onwards.

    • independentbynature

      Pipe Dream……..

      • keenanjen

        ONE MAYBE NOT BOTH LOL

        • independentbynature

Our chances are slim and none.Slim for Melo.None for LeBron…LOL.

          • comrade24

Lebron i agree, but we have as good a chance at signing Melo as anyone

  • keenanjen

I hope he signs. However we need to bring back our bench from last year. If many remember our bench was top 5 before all the injuries hit. If they can get Melo and resign Pau to play center let Kendall play PG because he is a pass first guard our starting five would be nice. Also if you keep the bench I believe we match up well with the west and the Heat

    • Swagzilla

      Defense?

      • keenanjen

Hire a defensive minded coach. It can be taught. Also I don’t know what player out there that is a shut down defender

        • Swagzilla

It takes effort if Melo and Gasol have been sagging off most of their careers I don’t see them just drastically changing.

          • keenanjen

When Phil was here Pau played D. let’s not forget.

          • Swagzilla

That was a younger more mobile Pau, they both can improve defensively but it doesn’t mean they will.

    • LaX

      Kendall is trash bro

      • keenanjen

He’s a pass for guard we don’t need him to be great

        • independentbynature

IMO,Clarkson might just turn out to be way better than Marshall. He was rising fast on everyone’s draft board after they saw his workouts. And Jordan can defend.Kendall can’t cover his own shadow.

          • keenanjen

            yeah that’s true

          • Jim213

Lol, yes but I would’ve made Bazemore a RFA and disregarded R kelly’s extension. tho it’s the other way around now. Defense first for me with #24 still on board,

          • independentbynature

I think they are trying to clear as much cap space as possible and still sign Bazemore for the minimum. It won’t save much if they sign him,but the cap hold will be 500,000 less for an open roster spot as opposed to a qualifying offer.

          • independentbynature

I’m not too impressed with Kelly, either. They will need some low-priced reserves, though.

          • Jim213

Name me a few bigs (bang for you buck) that you feel can help the 4 and 5. Both for starting and bench positions.

            Here’s a few I’d prefer given

RFA, Ed Davis PF/C- Grizzlies (young tho a 50/50 shot given the $5+ mil pay) Given M gasol and Zach getting plenty of playtime hearing that the Grizz will pass on him and not match a high offer but most likely just another asset to trade down the road.

UFA, *Marcin Gortat C- Wizards (if Pau doesn’t return he’d be a solid CONSISTENT option for less$ but doubtful given a possible 1 yr. deal from FO)

UFA, *Trevor Ariza F/G- Wizards (possible if melo can’t be signed while being cheaper than Deng too)

UFA, *Anthony Tolliver PF- Bobcats (RELIABLE PLAYER bench w/lesser pay too)

UFA, *Earl Clark PF- cheap (should be considered for backup/bench IMO)

          • Badazztj12

would be great to have clark back since Mike D’antoni gone

          • Zimmeredge

That’s why we picked up Kelly. Bigger trade asset imo. We might be able to package him with Nash for a guy like thad young?

  • rival almighty

    Bledsoe Kobe melo randle bosh
    Nash bazemore swaggy Kelly gasol
    Xavier sacre farmar

    • Bruce

If salary cap isn’t an issue, yeah it’s a great lineup

    • keenanjen

I don’t think Bosh is leaving Miami

  • Bruce

Forget about Melo, Lebron, Bosh, they ain’t coming. Our best bet is resigning Pau to 2 year contract for 20 mil, sign either Lowry, Deng, or Parsons, resign some of last season’s players, we’re ready to roll. It’s not a contending team, but at least it’s a 7-8th seed playoff team if everyone is healthy.

    • keenanjen

You can’t be to sure about Melo. The rest I agree with. This is not a crap organization we can still get stars

  • J Taylor

If Melo comes, we can look to add another Superstar.
Can we hope that Scott can bring Irving?
or Mitch can find a way to get Rondo?

    • keenanjen

I think it has to be a 3 team trade in order to get Rondo. just the Lakers by themselves ain’t enough

    • independentbynature

Like Ainge is gonna help the Lakers? The Devil will be selling popsicles in hell first.

      • keenanjen

        lol

  • independentbynature

Seems like a lot of you have some real delusional expectations. You’re like little kids at Christmas.I want this and this and this.Lebron,Melo Lowry,Parsons Monroe,Pau….Lets get them all at once.LOL.

    • keenanjen

Naw I with you. I don’t want them all just Melo I don’t think we can get Lowry maybe if he takes a pay cut, but I don’t think that would be possible

      • independentbynature

I think we have a better chance of getting Lowry than Melo.Toronto just might let him go and keep Vasquez for a lot less money. Some people are acting like this is a fantasy league draft.

        • keenanjen

I could be wrong, but I believe we will shock alot of people with MELO, but I could be mistaking

          • independentbynature

It could happen. But it will take a helluva sales job by the FO.

          • keenanjen

Yes Yes you are right. One thing they could say among others is, Melo you can get free agents to follow you here. It’s the Lakers and all we need is to show players that you want to win a chip. They can say something along those lines

          • independentbynature

He’ll definitely have to be convinced that Kobe is 100% and still has a lot of game left, too.Jimmy Buss has damaged our aura of invincibility these last couple of years.

          • keenanjen

That’s true Jim did do that. I would say the Bulls have to do the same with regards to Rose. remember he hasn’t been 100% in 2 full years. I also believe Jennie will be in the room this time too. She knows how important this is

          • independentbynature

It’ll take more than a please come to LA sign to do it.That’s for sure…LOL.The question is,is he really the free agent we want or what we will settle for.

          • keenanjen

I think he is. He’s under Kobe I think if he signs he knows what he’s in for how hard Kobe can be, how much greatness he demands. He will push Melo to be great. I also believe our rookie will push him to.

          • independentbynature

No doubt Melo has the talent. If he would just get fed up with everyone dissing his defense and become the 2-way player he could be,he’d be great.

          • keenanjen

I agree, that’s the point I make with being with Kobe. He’s not going to play the game of taking plays off. You now how he is lol

          • independentbynature

I still think it’s a long shot, but we’ll see what happens.I can’t go through another season like the last one.

          • keenanjen

I don’t think Melo wants to see the stare of death from Kobe lol

      • justsaying

how would be our ring winner PG then??

  • metalbass

we need to get rid of nash, but it’s really hard :( really hard :(

  • Edy

Carmelo Anthony joining the lakers would be super gravy then having a stud like randle in time he could someday be a superstar . I don’t see us landing both melo and James lakers wouldn’t be able to afford it

  • KB24

    LOWRY,kane,farm
    BRYANT,baze,xavier
    MELO,swagP

Lakers backup plan since landing Carmelo Anthony is a longshot at best.

    PG Darren Collinson/DeAndre Kane/Jordan Clarkson/Kendall Marshall
    SG Kobe Bryant/Lance Stephenson
SF Trevor Ariza/Mid Level Exception Paul Pierce
PF Julius Randle/Via Amnesty Carlos Boozer/Ryan Kelly
    C Greg Monroe/Andrew Bynum/Robert Sacre

  • Avery

Carmelo is meeting with the Bulls at midnight July 1.Bulls bound of course he is.

  • LakersHeatBeef

Excerpts from the L.A. Times article PER Mike Bresnahan.

More likely, the Lakers will target third-tier free agents such as Trevor Ariza, who is coming off a career year with Washington, and Chandler Parsons, a well-rounded player for Houston who has proven he can hit long-distance shots.

Jordan Hill, Wesley Johnson and MarShon Brooks aren’t expected back, and Chris Kaman will have to take a pay cut from the $3 million he made last season.

The Lakers hope to re-sign Ryan Kelly after he had a few good games as a rookie. They would also consider bringing back Kent Bazemore at a reasonable rate.

  • LakersHeatBeef

Seems like things are up in the air with the Lakers situation.Jordan Hill,MarShon Brooks,Wesley Johnson are not coming back.I am fine with that out of those 3 i liked Jordan Hill but he can be replaced with a energy guy like Patric Young or Josh McRoberts or Boris Diaw.

Trevor Ariza will be a nice addition to the Lakers if they choose to sign him.Chandler Parsons seems like a Lakers Hater that’s just my impression of him after the Dwight Howard recruitment. But otherwise Chandler Parsons is worth signing at a good price tag.

Kent Bazemore is going to get interest from other teams that was something i read.

    • Zimmeredge

We should try to bring back Johnson, although he was not good, he helped us well on d and transition offense.

Call me what you want, but I am not very happy with the all Carmelo coming to play for our beloved Lakers. The Lakers have always been a strong, competitive team (except for last season). Our rings were earned, not bought or gathering more than one or two stars to win. I think we should not sign Carmelo. I better see my team lose with some rookies and veterans, than win a ring with some greedy stars.

  • rival almighty

Do you guys like this trade?
Nash randle Marshall gasol sign and trade for love and lavine?

    • vdogg

no way. randle is going nowhere.

  • Hector

I was listening to Mike and Mike in the morning on ESPN radio and that idiot Chris Broussard said the Lakers are on the outside looking in for Carmelo also he said that Carmelo doesn’t think he can win with just him and Kobe on the Lakers.

    • TheTruthKills

So he’s an idiot because he said something you don’t like? Melo was never coming.

      • Zimmeredge

Chris broussard is not a relyable insider tho. I rather trust woj and ford. Broussard is like bucher. He says false stuffs and then apologyze because ´twas wrong info.
        Melo might come

  • Hector

Lakers will improve from 27-55 record to 32-50 a 7 game improvement.

  • rival almighty

Melo shouldn’t come here because his wife taste like cheerios , Kobe loves cheerios could be trouble.

  • Richard

The Lakers must continue to upgrade each position with the best chemistry and talent available to them. If they can do this successfully, I look for them to be very competitive and have a very good season.

    • rival almighty

Think we should wait on signing a pg tho Lowry and bledsoe is as good as it gets. While rondo kyrie lillard will be freeagents soon. We been waiting for a good pg for the last 18 years we can wait one more

  • Andrew

I think people forget that the lakers are one of the, if not the most, prestigious team/s to ever exist. We have had some bumps in the road, but history will repeat itself, and we will win again. Of course with Kobe and even after,Andre
