The team annually competes in the Las Vegas Summer League and this year is no different as the Lakers schedule for Summer League has officially been announced according to the LA Times’ Eric Pincus:

The Lakers will open summer league play in Las Vegas on July 11, the NBA announced on Thursday [...] The Lakers will also play the New Orleans Pelicans on July 13 at the Thomas & Mack Center, followed by a July 14 matchup against the Golden State Warriors at Cox Pavilion.

After playing those three games, all 24 teams will play at least two more games in a tournament style format to crown the Las Vegas Summer League champion.

In addition to whoever the Lakers draft with the seventh pick, the summer league team can include up to three players under contract with the team, meaning that familiar faces such as Robert Sacre, Kendall Marshall, and Ryan Kelly could all suit up this summer.

we need to get rid of sacre, he does no good in this rebuilding lakers team.

We don’t even have enough player on the rosters, yet you want to get rid of the ones we have. His stats are improving every year. Who knows, he might get even better next season. He’s quite young and not injury prone. Give the kid a break.

    • Thomas Klein

What did Sacre ever do to you? The guy is a decent 7 footer that’s healthy, and plays for under a million a year, he’s good on defensive rotations, moves his feet on D, he’s young, jeeze, what a lame statement.

Who is WE -the LAKERS have been working with him now for two yr and he gets better all the time – hes a keeper…

Who do you suggest we get in place of Sacre, who is a super cheap role player that is improving each season?

I might tune in to some of these games, just to see what we might have going into our 2014-15 rotations lol

    • Chris Park

Yeah hopefully our 7th pick (Vonleh, Randle, Smart, Gordon) will shine during these games which will give me some hope for next season

  • BULL

if Ryan Kelly develops into the PF im hoping .. man Love can go str8 to Golden St. Ryan taller, will be a better shooter if you ask me, plays better defense. but do not remember as good as Love, but I want to see how he develops..

  • Anthony Robles

I know the probabilities are very very slim but how I wish the backbreaker Laker could somehow be DANTE EX- THE-NEXT TO JOIN IN THE RAFTERS!!! I really don’t know if he can be as great as the hype he”s created, but if he does, he deserves to wear Purple and Gold!!!
