Lakers News: Steve Nash To Be Re-Evaluated Along With Kobe Bryant

Kobe Bryant and Steve Nash

The Los Angeles Lakers have been ravaged by injuries this season with stars Steve Nash and Kobe Bryant being on the shelf for the majority of the 2013-14 NBA season.

Fortunately, the two stars in the backcourt might be nearing a return to the floor. Bryant was thought to be re-evaluated for the knee injury in mid-February, but now will have that evaluation once the current road trip comes to a close.

As for Nash, there’s been no indication about when he might or if he’ll return this season, but now it appears he’ll also be re-evaluated the same time Bryant will according to Mike Trudell of Lakers.com:

Nash has been with his personal physical therapist/trainer working out in Vancouver, trying to improve daily so that he can test out the back, hamstring and nerve root issues that have plagued him this season. He’ll be re-evaluated by the Lakers when the team returns from the road trip just as Bryant is.

Along with Nash and Bryant nearing a return or at least their re-evaluation, Jordan Farmar and Xavier Henry might also be close to getting back on the floor for the Lakers. Steve Blake is another player making progress in his recovery from an elbow injury and might also return in the coming weeks.

Needless to say, the injury problems may be quickly coming to an end with the six players currently on the shelf getting closer and closer to returning.

Hopefully, with the majority of these players back on the floor, the Lakers will be able to get back on track and work their way up the Western Conference standings.
