Lakers News: Steve Nash Suffers Leg Injury Against Bulls

UPDATE (3:03 PM): Steve Nash says he just took a knee to the spot he broke his leg. He doesn’t think it will be a long-term issue and hopes to return to action soon.

Two-time NBA MVP Steve Nash has played well since returning from from a persistent back injury, but might be right back on the shelf after suffering a leg injury against the Chicago Bulls.

Nash will not return to the floor after heading to the locker room to get the injury checked out by Lakers trainer Gary Vitti according to Lakers Nation reporter Serena Winters:

Not only will Nash miss the rest of the game against the Bulls, but the injury is very similar to the one suffered last season in the collision with Damian Lillard:

Nash will have his injured leg re-evaluated tomorrow to determine the extent of the damage and amount of time potentially set to be missed.

With Nash going down yet again, the talk of retirement will start to circulate once again. Although Nash insists he’s not retiring and intends to play out his contract with the Lakers, the latest setback may be enough to convince the veteran point guard that it’s time to call it a career.
