There has been a lot of uncertainty surrounding the recent leg injury suffered by Steve Nash of the Los Angeles Lakers.

With Nash missing the second half of the loss to the Portland Trail Blazers and sitting out Friday’s loss to the Los Angeles Clippers, Lakers fans have been anxiously awaiting the results of an MRI on Nash’s left leg injury.

Unfortunately, the results of the MRI showed a small fracture in Nash’s leg that will force him to miss at least a week.

According to the Lakers Press Release on Nash’s injury:

EL SEGUNDO- Los Angeles Lakers guard Steve Nash was examined by team doctor Steve Lombardo and had an MRI exam. Results of the MRI showed a small non-displaced fracture in the head of his fibula (left leg).

The injury occurred in the second quarter of Wednesday night’s game in Portland against the Trail Blazers.  Nash is expected to be out a minimum of a week.  He will be re-examined and an update on his condition will be given at that time.

    Sign Delonte West!!!

  • Just a Laker Fan

Ok, yes this is not the greatest news ever. Yet when every door closes a window opens, this window being Morris. Darius Morris in my opinion actually played decent last night and played an arguable amount of decent defense last night. Morris who was kept by the Lakers and received a contract most posses some skills to make him stay. All I’m saying that with Steve Nash being gone this will give Morris a chance to shine. One more thing sign West ? Delonte is a scorer and can play defense yet it’s not wise to have someone with his attitude with the Lakers this year. The Lakers aren’t doing so wonderful this moment and people are chippy so you mix that in with Delonte and bad things would happen just saying.
