Lakers News: Steve Nash Leaves Game With Left Leg Contusion

After colliding with rookie Damian Lillard in Wednesday night’s game against the Portland Trail Blazers, Steve Nash headed to the locker room with a contusion in the lower left leg according to Mike Trudell of Lakers.com via Twitter:

The Los Angeles Lakers’ 38-year-old newcomer tried to get back on the floor after suffering the injury, but after one trip down the floor was noticeably limping and was taken out of the game by Lakers Coach Mike Brown. Veteran point guard Steve Blake replaced Nash.

The two-time NBA MVP finished the night with two points, four assists and four rebounds in 16 minutes on the floor.

    I hope he is alright.

Please FIRE! FIRE! FIRE! Mike Brown, he can never be a Head Coach!!!
He doesn’t understand how to control the tempo of the game. I said it last year in Playoff’s and he is doing the same.

you are right,i hope the lakers don’t wait until they are 20/30 games in to fire mike brown because if they do the new coach will not be able to change nothing,so do it now

Get better Nash. I know you got another year or two as an elite. You have the mastermind. Don’t sacrifice getting hurt for a point  or two. We need you in the playoffs, that’s where you will do damage because most get nervous.

Yes fire Mike Brown. He sucks.  Jeannie Buss, get Phil back! Come on! You said yourself that any coach would be willing to voluntarily coach this team. Do tha darn thang girl!!!

There is one positive from this, maybe mike brown can finally use morris to see that he is better then blake and have him as backupmpoint guard and its early in the season. so its fine, they need to get the princeton offense down , although im against this system.

Blake is showing his worth so far, he brought the energy last night and almost sparked a Laker comeback in the 4th quarter when everyone else had packed it in.

i think the stage is to big for mike brown at this stage of his career
