Lakers News: Steve Nash Is Out Vs. Warriors Tonight

Steve NashAccording to Mike Bresnahan of the Los Angeles Times, Lakers starting point guard Steve Nash will not be playing in tonight’s game against the Golden State Warriors.

Mike D’Antoni made it known coming into the season that there was a strong possibility of Steve Nash sitting out some games in the second night of a  back-to-back.

Many were under the impression that Nash might have a chance to play tonight due to the starters sitting the entire fourth quarter of the Lakers 116-103 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers to start the 2013-2014 season.

Nash sitting games is likely going to be a continued trend throughout this season, as the Lakers are taking the necessary precautions in order to keep him fresh. The Lakers will start Jodie Meeks tonight in place of Nash as the they will try to get their first road victory and advance to 2-0 on the season.
