The Phoenix Suns have grabbed at the Lakers staff this time, hiring former Lakers right-hand man Ronnie Lester as an NBA scout. Lester worked with the Lakers for 20 years, 10 of those being under Mitch Kupchak. Lester was let go by the Lakers in 2011 ahead of the NBA lockout.

The San Antonio Spurs swept the Grizzlies to claim this year’s Western Conference Finals. Despite the Heat looking like they would reclaim the title again this 2012-2013 season, the Spurs have had a few people wondering if they could snatch the title. Lakers Nation asked readers who will win the 2012-2013 NBA Finals, and a whopping 68% of you said the Spurs. San Antonio has swept two of their three playoff series at this point, one being the Lakers.

Jerry West turned 75 today and Lakers Nation wants to make sure to extend a very happy birthday! West was drafted with the second overall pick in the 1960 NBA Draft by the Lakers out of the University of West Virgina and played in L.A. for 14 seasons. He is also the iconic figure that comprises the NBA logo.
