Lakers News, Rumors, and Recap: Playoffs Game 2, Jordan Hill Will Play

The Lakers face their second game against the Nuggets tonight and will do so with the assistance of Jordan Hill.

Monday morning we learned about Hill’s charge with felony assault, and it was expected he would have to be in Houston Tuesday morning. This would have made is nearly impossible for him to return to LA by 7:30 PM for the start of the game.

Rest assured, we can expect Hill to suit up tonight. Hopefully he comes with as clear as a mindset as he can, or, for that matter, unleash some US-court-of-law aggression during his playtime. In Game 1 he had his first post-season double-double ever, with 10 points and 10 rebounds. Hill has recently been a strong force on the team.

In the first game of the playoffs, the Lakers shut down the Nuggest 103-88. Arron Afflalo and Ty Lawson of the Nuggets were held to a combined 15 points on Sunday night, detrimentally affecting the Nuggets play. Bynum was also unstoppable, while Gasol and the bench added much needed support for the Lakers. Tonight’s game should be an interesting match-up. Let’s see if the Lakers can still bring the Heat and if the Nuggets get their rhythm back.
