Lakers News: Phil Jackson Tweets His Excitement For Kobe’s Return

philjacksontweetAfter eight months of rehabilitation and practices, Kobe Bryant makes his first official return to the basketball court against the Toronto Raptors tonight. With the basketball world waiting to see how Bryant plays following an Achilles rupture, many have shared their support for the five-time champion including his former coach.

Phil Jackson tweeted his excitement for Kobe’s return and reminded all his followers that Bryant scored 81 points against these same Raptors seven years ago:

Bryant has had great history against the Raptors and everyone is expecting another great performance. Last season, Bryant somehow made three consecutive three-pointers to will the Lakers into overtime and sealed the game with a dunk.

While head coach Mike D’Antoni will limit Bryant’s minutes, it will be an exciting night to see Bryant’s return. With the Lakers 10-9, the rest of the players will have to continue playing at a high-level as Kobe gets into game shape. Once Bryant is able to play extended minutes, the five-time champion will look to lead the Lakers deep into the playoffs and exceeded expectations along the way.
