During the win over the Orlando Magic on Sunday night, two-time NBA champion Pau Gasol had to leave the game due to dizziness. The veteran forward did not return and spent the night in the hospital as a result.

On Monday, Gasol was officially diagnosed with vertigo according to Lakers PR:

It appears that Gasol may miss the game on Tuesday against the New York Knicks due to the illness. Gasol is considered doubtful according to Lakers PR:

The hits just keep coming in terms of the Lakers dealing with injury issues. Potentially losing Gasol against a red-hot Knicks squad will be a major blow.

Along with the Lakers needing their star center for Tuesday’s game, it will also be the first time the Lakers will face the Knicks since Phil Jackson joined the team as the president of basketball operations.

Without Gasol in the lineup, head coach Mike D’Antoni may go with Chris Kaman at center or possibly Jordan Hill who is coming off arguably the best performance of his NBA career.

Let me guess… This is Jim Buss’s and Mike D’Antoni’s fault?

STFU! Actually yes it is cause if they knew what the fuck they were doing from the get go it wouldn’t matter if we lostthis game. Sicknesses will happen

We’re manufacturing injuries now to make sure we lose-out. ;) which is fine.

Manufacturing vertigo? Hospitalizations? And still letting Hill and Young play to win the game. Get real.

      • mikeetown

manufactured or not – there is absolutely no reason to win another game this season. Forget pride – be proud in the draft with a higher pick.

Take your time Pau. Sit out a week or two. You’ve put up good numbers this year and had to carry an awful team and a coach who doesn’t respect your game. Lakers fans appreciate your effort and hope to see you again in a gold and purple uniform under new coaching leadership.

I have Vertigo and it’s not fun nor does it go away, ever….

vertigo? Dunno what that has to do with basketball.

      Idiots.

It’s why Pau left the game. When a basketball player in the NBA gets any illness, it’s a story. This benign vertigo is not the common cold!!

Paul, they are not airplanes, they are just basketball players flying by you to dunk in your face. No wonder is dizzy.

Look up Epley maneuver. He could play tonight.

    Use Kaman for once…
