Lakers News: Nick Young Says Lakers Have To Win ‘For The Fans’

The losing streak continued for the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday night with the team losing a fifth game in a row. The Lakers were unable to snap the five-game skid against the Cavs at the Staples Center and as a result have lost the last 11 out of 12 games.

Following the loss to Cleveland, Lakers leading scorer Nick Young spoke to the media and said the team needs to turn it around for the fans according to TWCSportsNet:

“It’s too early in the season to give up…we have to do it for the fans”

The current losing streak for the Lakers couldn’t come at a worse time for this team. The Lakers will embark on a seven-game road trip on Wednesday heading to Arizona to take on the Phoenix Suns in the second game of a back-to-back and then head to the east coast.

Although the injuries have continued to pile up for the Lakers, this team simply can’t figure out a way to shoulder the load while Kobe Bryant, Steve Nash, Xavier Henry, Steve Blake and Jordan Farmar try to get back healthy.

Along with taking on the Suns on Wednesday, the Lakers will face the Boston Celtics, Toronto Raptors, Chicago Bulls, Miami Heat, Orlando Magic and New York Knicks before heading back to Los Angeles on Jan. 28 to face the Indiana Pacers.
