With the news breaking that the Lakers have fired coach Mike Brown, Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports reports that the Lakers may be looking at Mike D’Antoni.

As head coach of the Phoenix Suns, D’Antoni was most known for facilitating a fast pace offense. Earlier this year, he resigned as the head coach of the New York Knicks after a six-game losing streak. In the summer of 2012, D’Antoni also returned to Team USA as an assistant coach.

Wojnarowski also reports that due to a recent knee replacement surgery, D’Antoni isn’t quite on his feet yet.

They better not. There is a reason as to why he left NY. PLEASE don’t make the same mistake twice.

He left NY because of Carmelo Anthony. Don’t think he would have a problem in LA. Kobe likes D’Antoni. The Knicks played great after D’Antoni came there until they traded half the team for Anthony. The Triangle would be another waste of the talents of Steve Nash. Sloan or D’Antoni would better utilize the strengths of Nash. However, anything other than Brown and the Princeton will be an improvement. Couldn’t get much worse.

we need someone like Jerry Sloan

I would rather you bring in Brian Shaw and get the triangle system back into play that offense brought the best out of each player for the Lakers. We had to many championships under that offense and the players respect him as a assistant coach maybe you should look into the head coach job for him…

RIGHT ON– THATS THE BEST CHOICE–BUT THAT IS EASY FOR US TO SAY, EVERYONE WOULD WORK HARD FOR SHAW—GOOD MAN.
