Lakers News: Kendall Marshall Weighs In On Nick Young’s Ejection

Kendall Marshall

The Los Angeles Lakers dropped their sixth straight game and first game of a seven-game road trip, but that was not the biggest story of the night.

In the second quarter, shooting guard Nick Young took a hard foul from Alex Len of the Phoenix Suns and immediately went after Len. He was involved in a scuffle and ended up being ejected for a punching foul.

According to Mike Trudell of TWC SportsNet, Laker point guard Kendall Marshall shared his thoughts on Young’s reaction:

It’s no secret that the Lakers are struggling with health issues and could not afford to lose a player, especially their leading scorer. Young had nine points at the time and was on his way to another double-digit game before the altercation.

According to Dave McMenamin of ESPN LA, Marshall had more to say about Young and his actions:

After the game, Young was disappointed in the fact that none of his teammates came over to assist him as the Suns’ team surrounded him. Marshall understood Young’s frustration, but stood by the fact that the Lakers are dealing with injuries and need all the players they can get. On the season, Young is averaging 16.4 points off the bench in just over 28 minutes per game. He will likely be fined and may be suspended for his actions. The Lakers will have to wait for the NBA to decide his fate.

Now, the team heads to Boston for a matchup against the Celtics on Friday and could be without Young.

WOW!!! I could not be Nick on that team! I’d be calling out these PUNKS and telling them if it’s like that the FUCK IT! I see how y’all do it SMH

    • Al Haldie

Ya that sound real tough —your 4 letter words fits you….

      • Daryl Peek

The sad part is you don’t see how inflammatory this situation is? There’s times in life when you need to exclimate your point with a 4 letter word. I don’t use them in my everyday speech but best believe if I do, I talking at a heighten level that commands attention!

Miss me with the nose turned up judgement

      • matt

With all the issues of our team finding a true identity, every player better have each others FUCKING back we are FUCKING LOSING, BIG TIME……stop being such a puss..ayy

        • Jacob Crim

And if the team loses any more players in some stupid pointless scuffle then they wont even be able to play Boston on Friday due to forfeit. But hey lets jump in a push fight so we can say “we have each others back”.

          • Ehdie M Sackey

sssoooo all those suns players are going to get in trouble? NO. The point is.. no one was there to have his back. No one is saying jump in swinging. But make their presence known. Why not? Thats your teammate!

          • Jacob Crim

Still though. Do Laker fans want another hot head player. We dont know Kendalls limits, say he did try to break up the scrum and he too got pushed and swung at someone. Then he is also suspended. With the roster as low as it is everyone really needs to look out for themselves as crap as that may seem. I just cant believe how irrational most people are about this situation. They want him off the team because of this? Please he is nearly averaging a double double. I guess standing up for your team mate is more important than producing in LA…

      • Cheryl Felty Boghossian

        You’re an idiot.

        • Dubnit

Cheryl u r one ignorant ass human being an any one else that condone ur teammate being forced out of mid air violently risking being Injured saying nick is a hot head stupid bitch he could have gotten hurt then he not suppose to defend himself then u make the point about he went after the wrong person r u serious it was five on one he was being tossed around like a salad an the team on the floor acted like bitches yes Cheryl just like u a bitch with ur dumb stupid ass ideology an concept of this whole situation maybe u need to stick to watching golf r something because he went after anybody that was coming at him and Goran Dragic was coming at him trying to protect his teammate either y’all stupid r blind! An who cares if everybody gets suspended this season is over anyway embrace it an prepare for a healthy better team an coach next year! I’m vying for dantoni to lose his job an we get rid of every player that was on the court during the altercation I might give Marshall a pass only because he just came from the d league an probably not making enough to pay his fines fuck all the rest of they ass Kaman Kelly r really bitches two bigs let the Morris brothers just dog him like that an y didn’t they get fined as hard as they pushed nick cause David stern I can’t wait til somebody deal with that clown he is really a piece of work y u hate lakers so much anyway fucking dick sucking faggot! But Cheryl I read all the comments but urs just stuck with me the most r u a troll cause u can’t b a laker fan really now! Then talk about one of the only players playing with passion every night

          • psi4power

Agreed, finally someone with some sense.

    • Jack Hokage Handcock

then Pau stands up pulls out his championship rings and tells him to stay in his lane. The Lakers has not depth and you want to get ejected and weaken us even more. The foul sucks but you got to be smart. Let that motivate you and light a fire under your butt and go beast mode and win the game.

      • james

actually Pau agreed with Nick, good try though

      • Dana Douglas

Yeah! I mean, if everyone got ejected, the team might LOSE!

        Wait a second…

    • hookedonnews

I don’t really agree. I think Nick caused the problem by jumping up and going after Len. Don’t start something you can’t finish and then complain because your teammates didn’t come bail you out. I don’t think Kobe would have needed his teammates to take care of him (and probably would have been smart enough not to react that way in the first place). This is one of those things that happen, and it’s over so quickly that you really don’t have that much time to react. Now the team is left with potentially a 7 man rotation because Hill may be suspended also. His teammates will probably be quicker to react next time something like this happens, but Young has got to learn how to deal with this stuff.

      • Daryl Peek

Can’t be worried about how many players are available in a situation like that. Wrong or right stand up for your teammate! Could Nick have shrugged it off? Yes but in the same breath, how many times do we have to witness our players losing games due to a passive nature?

Haven’t you noticed how our guys are always picking themselves up when they do decide to attack the rim but we never see that when an opponent drives on us? I vividly recall seeing it play out like that in the recent Clippers game as that was the height of embarrassment watching our troops lay down while getting completely punked on the court. Meeks and Young were the only ones attacking the rim in that game and it showed in their FT attempts. The lack of heart shows in the boxscore of almost every Lakers game lately as we allow teams to score at will in the paint while we rarely find our way in there unscathed.

Nick took a stand on what he felt was excessive. Emotions can get the best of any of us in the heat of battle, and that was battle. I find absolutely no fault in Nick even though cooler heads could’ve prevailed. At some point you have to fight back and there is no circumstance that makes you think twice when defending yourself or your Brother.

        • Cheryl Felty Boghossian

Nick was wrong!! Len fouled him but he puinched Dragic!!
Anyway, this is not a hockey game and Jordan Hill was stupid for rushing the court from the bench. You have to play smart and that wasn’t Nick or Hill. Both were assholes.

          • Daryl Peek

First thing, what does the difference between hockey and basketball have to do with defending yourself?

Next you gotta keep the timeline of all that happened in context. Nick’s first “REACTION” was to getting unjustly slapped in the face and knocked out of the air. I don’t care what game is being played if that happens to you you’re very likely to react to it adversely less you have no sense of self preservation about yourself. Key thing that happened was Nick was hit first. Hard foul perception or not.

By the time Nick got to Dragic he had been reeling from being pushed several times by the Morris twins and others. Dragic did what Nick’s teammates wouldn’t, step forward in trying to protect his mate. Nick was absolutely in full defense mode at that time as all of them were advancing on him while he was constantly backig up but not cowering in being ready to swing in defense.

The smart man protects himself. If teammates had got involved it lmore than likely would have not escalated like that regardless of whether Nick overreacted from the jump, to which I feel he didn’t!

          • Johnny Walker

Cheryl I highly doubt you’ve ever been fouled hard with a malicious hit in the face let alone played basketball. Until you know what goes through a guys head when they get hit like that STFU.

          • silver asshole

stupid. I don’t even like nick young cuz he turns it over too much. just like henry. BUT! he was hit in the face, and didn’t even “swing” or “punch” at the dragon. chill out.

    • Cheryl Felty Boghossian

Nick is a stupid hot headed player that should be cut now!! He cares nothing for his team. just his ego!! You do realize he punched Dragic.. not the guy who fouled him. He is just stirring crap up and needs to learn how to win in basketball. His stupid antics are self serving and do not help the team.!!

      • Israel Hipólito

Cares nothing for the team – he’s arguably the only player out there playing with his heart in head.

      • psi4power

        you cant be serious

  • Lakers Fan

What the fuck do you mean he saw what he wanted to see?? He got fouled HARD and reacted to it like any other TOUGH player would. Y’all didn’t help him, so what he saw was correct. This is the attitude this pathetic Lakers team have. Nobody wants to show some tough emotions, and that’s why they get beat on every night. Nobody takes this team serious, and as soon as a player FINALLY reacts he’s in the wrong?? Miss me with that bitch made shit Kendall. That’s your fucking teammate, short-handed or not. You don’t have to react violently, just step in and say something. If its not one thing with this team, its another.

    • doc drizzle

I rather lose the game then have some tin man “no heart” bitches on the team… If you dont stand for something you’ll fall for anything… Where was Ron Artest when you needed him..lol. Artest & Nick Young would’a f%#@ that whole team up..

      • Jack Hokage Handcock

you think Artest would of risked potential paychecks during the down years of his career to fight a bunch of bums like the Suns. At the most Artest would dragged Young out of the way

        • C*HarrisTHEboss

Not even Ron Artest can predict Ron Artest – keep trolling troll.

          • Jack Hokage Handcock

and you see where Ron Artest is at now right. We had him during his last good years of play and got a ring with him. He cant guard the top players in his position no more. He cant stop Lebron, KD, or Paul George. He served his purpose. He was our muscle and enforcer but when his so call unpredictability out weighs his play on the court he got to go. If you want goons on the court looking to fight and get suspended go watch hockey. I want my Laker team who wins championships and hold the organization to a higher standard. Goons dont win rings in this era of the NBA. If Young is going to let his emotions over take his decision making he can take that to another team. He actions led to a lose to a far less superior team.

          • MattLAKERSPH

i think jack never watched other nba games. LAC, DEN, MAVS, PACERS, OKC, WARRIORS, HEAT, SAS, POR, TOR, ATLANTA all went to a fight and the whole team are all involved to back their teammates and control things to not make it worst. ITS THE W THAT DRIVES THEIR EMOTIONS! Goons ? there are no goons in NBA but there ain’t no pussy out their that is willingly to get bullied.

Never thought that Kendall is such a pussy to not take the responsibility to back nick young and prevent the situation to get worst. All they did is watch nick punch len instead of going in between to prevent that punched.

          • Cheryl Felty Boghossian

Nick Young was stupid. He was fouled by Len but he punched Dragic. How does that help anything?? Then, Jordan Hill rushes from the bench to get into the fight..
IF Nick wanted to fight, he should have at least hit the guy who fouled him.

          • Cheryl Felty Boghossian

Ncik DID NOT punch Len.. he punched Dragic. And he is a goon.

          • Tune

If that’s your definition of a punch, I pray for you in any scuffle ever presented to you.

          • Cheryl Felty Boghossian

Agreed. and well put. Let Nick Young go to another team with lower standards.

    • Jacob Crim

Yeah fouled hard. I’ve played many games where I get slapped/elbowed in the face going for lay ups. Hell I am short I expect it! But I never EVER freak the fuck out about it. You just carry on and continue playing. That is tough. Having a temper tantrum and getting all pissy like a little bitch solves nothing. EVER.

    • Cheryl Felty Boghossian

Len fouled him but Nick punched Dragic …how was that helping” Young needs to have a cooler head. this happens in the NBA.

  • LakersHeatBeef

No way am i going to stand for watching one of my teammates get violently fouled then pushed by a angry Marcus Morris and then Goran Dragic and a few others getting in his face.No way that is not how stuff works SMH.Kendall Marshall is not a fighter i get it by now but come on dude that’s your’re teammate and it would be best to back him up as far saying something not acting out violence i am not saying that just break up the fight damn it.Lakers are scared to defend a teammate during a fight.Wow this is just sad.Come on Kendall you’re better than that man.

    • Jack Hokage Handcock

or the team is 8 players deep and dont want to risk the team even more by possibly being suspended. Young got a player ejected and should of went into beast mode and taken over the game like Kobe would do. We dont need goons right now on the court we need smart players. He got to remember he is playing for a contract like the majority of this team. He needs to be on the court show casing his skills. He got the physical talent obviously but he needs to prove he got the basketball awareness as well. I dont think he got that part down yet

      • Dana Douglas

What have they got to lose? Really?

I’d rather the whole team get suspended and they forfeit a game than see that kind of lack of character, lack of heart, lack of team, ever again.

As far as I’m concerned, Nick Young is the only one of those sorry bitches worthy of wearing the uniform.

        • Cheryl Felty Boghossian

But, Nick punched the wrong guy. He was fouled by Len and he punched Dragic. That was stupid.

          • Tien Ha

To Nick Young’s defense he pushed back Len as soon as he got up. He was then pushed by one of the twins and Len was held back so it wasn’t possible for Young to get back at Len again.

Dragic than proceeded to come at Young in which he had no business to. Young was hit in the face while in mid-air with potential of a serious injury. Len was fined and assessed a flagrant 2 foul.

        • Cheryl Felty Boghossian

Nick young is a pissy little bitch with an ego problem. Besides he punched the wrong guy. HE should take fouls like a man and put the team ahead for it. This is not hockey.

        • j253

as if this season isnt already bad enough you want the lakers to forfeit against the celtics of all teams.. just to watch players who wont be on the team next season fight the suns to show how much character and heart they got.. makes sense

    • one perspective

If your little brother was crowded by 5 people and you saw it, you would step in or at least rush to his aid, right? I am not saying get violent but at least hold your little brother at arms way. Nick is essentially same thing. Kendall should not be standing at the 3 point line watch and Kelly (who was the closest) should have come in to hold Nick. The rest of the group was walking up…not even a jog. Nick is right. He just got clocked in the head and his immediate reactions after again falling on his bad back was to get and confront this a$$ who decked him. He tried but ended up getting pushed away by 3 or 4 Suns guys. Marcus Morris did not help much to claim the situation down. Marcus did you not see Nick get clocked in the head? Let’s see you go up to the basket in the air and get clocked in the head and see how you will feel. Let’s then do the same to Kendall and Kelly and see what kind of perspective they will have afterwards. Nick is not asking you guys to throw punches. I feel for Nick…

    • Cheryl Felty Boghossian

Nick is pissy like a little bitch

  • LakersHeatBeef

Just to be clear i do know Alex Len violently fouled Nick Young and Nick was pushed hard by Marcus Morris.Basically they tried to punk Nick.Come on defend you’re teammates.Suns own the Lakers 3-0 for a reason this season.

  • kday all day

Nick Young is the only true Laker on the floor. He reps the city, he plays hard and most nights plays alone. He is also the only player that makes watching this years group bearable. Kendall Marshall is getting used to the paychecks and ain’t gonna risk losing one because he’s probably gonna be back in the d league soon. Yo swaggy Kobe would of had yours homie.

    • Jim213

Disagree, Hill still does his thing but is in and out of constantly given the coach’s preference.

    • LakerTiLiDiE

Would have been interesting if metta was still here! Would have elbowed Morris ASAP!! Tryna push him like some punk

    • Cheryl Felty Boghossian

      kday… you’re and idiot.

    • Cheryl Felty Boghossian

Disagree, Nick Young is a pissy little bitch that needs to learn basketball rules and how to play. Besides, He punched Dragic NOT Len. Stupid, stupid, stupid, Cut him now.He has an ego problem and is not a smart player.

  • Lakers Ground

Funny how two cowards have worn that jersey number in a row.

    • TTKIN

Can we please give this man an award for best/most-hilarious comment on the page?

  • Taichung

If this guy was Charles Oakleys or any of those other old school guys’ teammate, he’d be eating off a straw for these comments.

  • MaxPrime

Nick let his teammates down by losing control, But calling his teammates out might just toughen the Lakers up a bit!!! This will either make them or break them!!!

  • http://www.haveslot.com/ richard

Big game James said it right… this team is just WEAK!

  • Ryan

Marshall doesn’t have a guaranteed contract. I wouldn’t be going out of my way to back up Nick Young in that situation either.

    • Jack Hokage Handcock

got to put that into consideration too, Marshall trying to get him a legit roster spot. He got to take care of himself first, especially in this losing season.

    • Cheryl Felty Boghossian

I wouldn’t back up Nick Young. He has an ego a mile wide and is hot headed. Don’t need him. Lakers need smart not stupid players. They played him and he didn’t even realize it.

    • Sylvia Ross

Marshall, didn’t have to fight all he had to do was get in the middle so nothing else could be done.

  • Thank Me

You have to blame David Stern. In today’s league you get a technical foul for slamming the ball on the ground after a disputed call. Nonetheless, his teammates should have at least ran over to get him out of the scuffle

  • corky carroll

I knew we were gonna miss Metta

    • Jack Hokage Handcock

I miss Lebron and Durant torching Metta up and down the court too. We got Metta just in time for our last championship. He is not missed on the court. Lack of offense and cant defend the top guys in his position anymore. He is now an enforcer type player. Just there for intimidation reasons only

  • D

Yeah the team shoulda backed him up. But Young shouldn’t have thrown a punch either. The team needs to figure out how to be a team and sometimes that means backing each other up and knowing when to step in. If Kobe had been there he woulda been there trying to calm the situation. There is no need to fight, fouls and hard fouls happen and I get that it irritates and pisses you off. But Young is the one punished now the other guy is fine? how does that help anything? They need a leader on the court. I don’t think they have found one yet.

  • AngryLakerFan

this is stupid as fuck, nobody helped him, Nick Young is the heart of the lakers, the leading scorer and yet none of his “teammates” helped him. That’s ridiculous.

    • Alexandra Taylor

None of you noticed that Ryan Kelly tried to help Nick Young up but was moved away by the angry sun’s players. Watch the video you can clearly see Ryan’s attempt to help.

    • Al Haldie

How many times have you seen KOBE put to the ground and I HAVE NEVER SEEN HIM TRY to take a shot , he has more brains–nick DID NOTHING BUT STIR the crap – there was no need in what he did..

      • Jack Hokage Handcock

because Kobe knows his value and he would not put his team in a bad place because he cant play for a fight that will not happen

        • Jacob Crim

And probably because Kobe is a grown up and knows that starting fights over weak crap like that results in absolutely nothing positive.

    • Cheryl Felty Boghossian

AngryLakerFan…you’re an idiot. Nick Young is an idiot and a hot head. This isn’t smart playing and besides he punched the wrong guy..not the one who fouled him. Lakers don’t need a swaggy P hot head.
      .

    • Cheryl Felty Boghossian

Nick is not anything to the LAkers. HE is a hot headed egomaniac ..not a team player. What he did was stupid. He didn’t even punch the right guy. Cut this loser now!!.

  • LakersHeatBeef

    Memo To:Kendall Marshall

At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having read it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul..

        • BUBBLE WHACK

          start watching golf…

  • LakersHeatBeef

Yeap the Lakers signed Manny Harris to a 0 day contract today.Kendall should have said no comment last night.Manny Harris is going to get his shot to play.

  • LakersHeatBeef

Manny Harris signed to a 10 day contract by the Lakers today.

  • Sylvia Ross

All FOUR of you including your SPINELESS COACH were wrong for not backing up Nick. You left him out their all by himself. I can only wonder what was going through his mind when he found out that the only teammate to back him up was on the bench. Thanks, Jordan, I hope that Laker nation appreciates what you were trying to do. Laker fan for life.

    • Cheryl Felty Boghossian

Sylvia, you are wrong. This isn’t a boxing match. Nick was wrong for what he did. You have to take it for the team. He is immature and the Lakers don’t need him. Besides , he punched Dragic and not Len. Stupid, stupid, stupid.; Cut Nick Young Now!!!!

      • BUBBLE WHACK

ever watch hockey u under sensitized cunt??? get a life

    • Cheryl Felty Boghossian

Nick Young is stupid and hot headed. Cut him before he does more stupid crap. A goon is always a goon.

    • BUBBLE WHACK

Go Jordan Hill & nick young all the other guys on the courst fuck off

  • ok ok

Kendra Marshall going to be in D league in one year… Gasoft ass bitch…. Motherfucker aint even happy to be playing. He just wanna ride the bench and get paid

    • Jack Hokage Handcock

so if Gasol, Hill, and Sacre left the bench they would have been suspended which would make our roster even more weaker than what it is now. Genius thinking right there

      • ok ok

So we lose by 30 instead of 20… Marshall showed he’s a big puss. I don;t want someone that doesnt backup his teammates repping our city. Its a championship or nothing. Weak is weak… aint no degrees to this shit

        • Jack Hokage Handcock

Marshall shows he is a poised player. The Lakers team is 8 players deep and now Young is out for the next game. Good job for showing your “passion” but we need all the players on the court playing. If a player doesnt know that, then I dont want him on my team. Young is too valuable to play thug basketball. Len was going to get ejected for that play regardless. If you seen Kobe face during the replay on ESPN he gave Young the Dwight death stare. Really if Mamba dont approved of your actions then you know you are messing up

          • ok ok

you know, who stays poised all the time? Blake Griffin. Its cuz people know they can punk his ass and get away with it. Swaggy lets that shit slide and its over for the lakers. That shit sent a statement to the rest of the league, -We might not be good, but we demand respect-

          • Cheryl Felty Boghossian

            Swaggy is a fool.

        • Cheryl Felty Boghossian

Nick Young showed he is the stupid and weak player. You do realize he punched the wrong guy? He’s an immature hot head and should be cut now!! Marshall shows maturity and poise.

        • Cheryl Felty Boghossian

Nick Young is a stupid ego maniacal hot head. Even Kobe disapproves of him. Cut this loser now!!

        • BUBBLE WHACK

MArshall Kaman and meeks are all pussies

      • BUBBLE WHACK

yes it is……it really is you dumb idiot

  • C*HarrisTHEboss

    FUCK KENDALL MARSHAL!

  • TTKIN

Marshall has balls now, but he didnt last night. Young pushed him, and the NBA would not have given a fuck since he just took a punch to the face. The reason he ended up throwing a punch is cuz he had 5 dudes coming at him. Had his team been there to help, woulda been a different story.

Props to Ryan Kelly for trying to help, but hes a scrawny white boy (like me), so he did what he could but got pushed out the way by 2 giant twins.

And where was Marshall? 25 feet away, with the rest of the Lakers not hustling…as usual.

  • TTKIN

Wasnt it Young earlier this year who said the Lakers dont get respect? Then he gets punched in the face. Young pretty much HAD to push him back. Otherwise the entire league will see a team full of bitches.

Let me just say, had it been Lebron who got fouled that hard, the NBA would make sure to fine and suspend Len…for the rest of his career.

  • Arlene A LeBeauf

I Do Not like his comments at all but, If Lakers Players would have got in the hassle more, techs, more suspensions. Those Morris Twins and Drajic should get fines and suspension they were there throwing and pushing. Lakers will Always get the Brunt of the Suspensions, Fouls and Fines. Yes, they should Stick Up for Team Mate but getting in that Melee it could have been Worse..We know what happened to MWP when he tried to stick up for his Team Mate..It is Something about that Purple and Gold that is Hated…I hope that tape is Viewed and hand out Punishments to the ones that interjected themselvs in it..

    • Bill

Exactly Arlene, if the Lakers players had come off the bench onto the floor they would have gotten fined, or ejected from the game and most of them may have moral clauses in their contract that they will lose bonus money if the get a suspension or kicked out of a game. Nick Young needs to slow his swag because they are already undermanned and can’t afford to lose anymore players. Protecting yourself is fine, but sometimes you have to know when to back off!

    • Cheryl Felty Boghossian

You are wrong. Len fouled Nick but he punched Dragic. Nick is a stupid hot head..No one was hurt and this isn’t tag team wrestling. Even Kobe doesn’t like Nick. Cut this loser now.

  • Al Haldie

WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME YOU SAW A REAL FIGHT ON THE COURT? Its been yrs ago they were going to hurt no one , they were slapping like girls and a few shoves nothing for anyone to get excited about and get put out of the game, there is time to get even and there is a time to keep a cool head – none of that should have happened. but they did use their heads , or there would not be a lakers team to play in BOSTON-if they were hurting NICK , they should all get in there and do some thing , but NICK has no marks on him no one got hurt , we had a chance to win that game last nite, and NICK could have added that help the LAKERS needed —no hurt no foul…

  • Erin Nathaniel

No matter how you slice it, Every Laker on the court that stood back was wrong! Why not step in to prevent escalation? If being shorthanded is a serious concern, Mr. Marshall, why not try to save your teammate from ejection/suspension? Young got Matt Barnes’d by his team last night. Second time I’ve been embarrassed to be a Laker fan.

  • Rob

You haven’t been winning anyway Marshall. What is going to happen if 2 more get kicked out for a couple of games except maybe bring the team closer

  • Ian

Len went to the head. Nick Young is ready to bounce on dudes at any time if he felt disrespected. It was a 1 point game and it was for sure a purpose foul. Lakers were ready to go on a run and the suns did not want to get embarrassed. Kendall Marshall is not a laker anyways just play to get paid and bounce to another club. Lakers are getting beat by everyone and frustrations build. I support Swaggy P 110%.

    • Al Haldie

That disrespewct . that you call it happens every nite and there is no reason to make a big deal out of it – that helps no one – it cost time and money to put a player on the court to play, and when you do dumb things like that, is a disrespect to your team and owners – it help no one….

      • Ian

I can already tell that you never played a team sport. On that note I will say this. The game played is for a paycheck and some play with heart. Young is one of those players that plays with heart. He does not like to lose and that is the reason why he plays harder then most guys on the team. The team is losing and supposedly a soft team. No team wants to be known as soft. BTW Flagrant 2 fouls do not happen all the time because it puts the opposing player in danger of getting injured. Some people actually play with pride for their team and city.

        • Cheryl Felty Boghossian

Nick Young is stupid and plays for himself and his ego…nobody else. He has no pride or commitment to the LAkers. Surprised that you can’t see that.

          • Ian

He comes off the bench on a shitty team. What pride? He signed with the lakers for far less money. You don’t make any sense.

          • BUBBLE WHACK

this cheyl felty boghossian is an idiot…..don’t worry its not just you who thinks this…lolol

          • BUBBLE WHACK

Yeah he took way less to play for is dream team….what a dumb twat lolol

          • BUBBLE WHACK

    • Cheryl Felty Boghossian

You are as stupid as Nick Young.

      • BUBBLE WHACK

Nick Youngs in the NBA and your commenting on him…..whos really stupid????

      • BUBBLE WHACK

start watching wnba and comment on that…..laker fans don’t like you or want you watching with that attitude…..you don’t know the NBA so fuck off

  • Mufugga

  • Joe

Nobody is telling the guys on the floor to rush in and come out swinging and kicking. Real teammates like Artest, Horry, and D-Fish would’ve rushed in the middle of that 5-1 situation and come back Jawing, cursing, and mouthing off, pretty much returning the favor of what the Suns guys were doing. No one is getting suspended for simply exchanging barbs and “pleasantries”

    • BUBBLE WHACK

new NBA = 99% pussies 1% real dudes

  • islesteelr

We ALL saw KM!! NOBODY did a thing…. they had to hold back Hill! Bcuz of the numbers right now, u get in there and break it up b4 OUR LEADING SCORER FETS HURT U IDIOT…!!

    • Cheryl Felty Boghossian

They held back Hill because he was on the bench. This isn’t a baseball game. You can’t rush from the bench. 2 stupid players Nick And Jordan Hill. The Lakers need smarter players. Swaggy P didn’t even hit the right guy, What a moron.

      • BUBBLE WHACK

Yes he did hit the right guy you fuckin twat, he hit who he wanted to….the fuckin first guy in his face when he was swinging……stop talking!!!

      • BUBBLE WHACK

your an embarrassment to sports just stop…

  • Issie Everything

I have DIRECT TV, and I replayed the altercation like 5 times and NOBODY..I repeat..NOBODY came to Nick Young’s relief from the LAKERS…. Pathetic..it was 5 on 1! and the Lakers just watched.. while the Sun’s were all Shoving Nick and protecting their teammates….and i bought NBA League pass to watch these bums

  • ludz

man we spose to be a team that will fight for eachother..these punks just stood there and watched it go down..thats why i miss metta he wont let anybody punk his team mates..

    • Cheryl Felty Boghossian

Fight for each other? What does that help anything. Fight by playing well…not throwing punches. This just brings disgrace to an already disgraced team.

      • BUBBLE WHACK

No it shows the team has each others back…..how fucked are you??!!

      • BUBBLE WHACK

an already disgraced team leading pro sports with 13 champships

  • antzer

another disappointment for our Lakers =( gotta back up your team mates no matter what! The jello is not jiggling, the butter has melted this season is done n done! Please fire the coach

  • dan

it would’ve been different if still have metta

  • Cheryl Felty Boghossian

Nick Young was wrong!! He punched Dragic not the guy who fouled him!! Better to take the foul for the team and win. He has a hot head not a thinker.

    • BUBBLE WHACK

They are horrible get off swaggys ass……he is the ONLY one with any heart

  • Cheryl Felty Boghossian

Nick Young is hot headed and stupid. He punched the wrong guy!! LEn fouled him but he punched Dragic. He needs to cool down and play smarter.

    • BUBBLE WHACK

He punched 1 of the 5 guys in his face cuz dragic was in his face…..man your fucked

  • Cheryl Felty Boghossian

Nick Young is a hot headed egomaniacal embarrassment. If you want to fight, do it by playing well.not by throwing punches. And, you threw your team mates under the bus!! This is basketball, not boxing. You didn’t even hit the guy who decked you. There is a reason Kobe doesn’t like Nick Young. IF you want respect, play better not fight.

    • BUBBLE WHACK

Your obviously really confused. Nick Young got mauled by a guy WAY bigger than him……if people just smile when that happens people WILL get career ENDING injuries…You don’t know the game so stop commenting on it retardedly.

    • BUBBLE WHACK

His teammates deserved to be shot…..thrown under a bus is nothing….especially when they did NOT have his back like a bunch of fairys asses

  • Israel Hipólito

There’s a lot more to this whole situation that what appears at surface. No, the other players should not have jumped in swinging, but whether you agree Young should’ve taken the foul without any retaliation or not he did and the other players should have jumped in to pull him back and calm him down. I personally believe if Young hadn’t retaliated Len or the other Suns players wouldn’t have even been fined – I was infuriated while hearing the in-game commentator say Young was simply tapped on the shoulder by Len. No matter how many times I watch the foul Len was clearly going for his face with both hands. And yes, clearly Young punched Dragic not Len but at that point he had a group of Suns players in his face pushing him around.

I can sit here in front of my laptop and type that Young should have never reacted in that manner but unless I’m in the same situation I cannot speak for his actions. Young is a professional NBA player but he’s also human. Whether you’re on the clock or not, I doubt anyone would just stand there and take it if someone slapped you across the face. I can’t blame him for retaliating – it was an immediate response. But team chemistry is definitely lacking and if the team can just stand by and watch as one of their players is being pushed around by half-a-dozen opposing players then that speaks volumes. No, don’t go running in swinging and flailing but step in and pull Young back. Unfortunately this was a lose-lose situation for Young: if he didn’t defend himself he’d send a message that he and the team, since he is representing the franchise while in uniform, can simply be pushed around but if he retaliates he’ll undoubtedly be in a load of trouble.

  • BUBBLE WHACK

ATTENTION KENDALL MARSHALL: YOUR A FUCKING IDIOT….YOU HAVE 7 GUYS AND YOU ALL FUCKING SUCK. WHAT DIFFERENCE DOES IT MAKE IF YOU GET TOSSED…..BTW ALL PHONEIX PLAYERS WHO JUMPED IN DIDNT GET TOSSED…..
