Lakers News: Jordan Hill Out For Remainder of Season

By | January 11, 2013|

The Lakers received some bad news on Friday night when it was revealed by Mike Trudell of Lakers.com that Jordan Hill will require season-ending surgery.

This is bad news for the Lakers who are dealing with a plethora of injuries. While Dwight Howard and Pau Gasol are both currently out with injuries, this is not the news Los Angeles was hoping to hear about Hill.

Here’s the full press release from the team:

EL SEGUNDO – Lakers forward Jordan Hill was examined by team doctor Steve Lombardo and hip specialist Dr. Jason Snibbe, and underwent an arthrogram test today on his injured left hip.

Results of the test showed he has loose fragments in addition to a possible labral tear. Hill has been advised that surgery will be needed to repair the injury, and he will be out for the remainder of the season.

Hill is expected to get a second opinion before he schedules surgery.
