Jordan Hill has played well for the Los Angeles Lakers this season and he is on the verge of cashing in on his production.

The Lakers are not offering Hill more money on a new contract. Instead, the forward is almost eligible for a $63,600 contract incentive. The Los Angeles Times reports that if Hill plays 11 more games this season while averaging 14.1 minutes per game, he will get the extra money:

Should Hill play at least 48 games while averaging 14.1 minutes a night, his incentive kicks in — pushing his total to $3,563,600.

Hill did not qualify for the incentive last season because of the injury, but he is on track to earning the $63,600 this time around. In 2013-14, Hill is averaging 20.2 minutes per game during the 37 games he has played.

Lakers guard Jodie Meeks also has a similar layout in his contract and with his added minutes this season due to the various injuries, he will be also be eligible for the incentive. Although no one wanted to see the main stars go down, it has given some of the role players extended minutes which is leading to financial rewards.
