Lakers News: Jordan Farmar Says Buss Family Is ‘Committed To Winning’

Only four games remain in the 2013-14 NBA season for the Los Angeles Lakers and changes are bound to take place this summer with players coming and going.

One of those players that may be sticking around for another season or two is two-time NBA champion Jordan Farmar. Although Farmar has battled injuries this season, the veteran point guard has played well enough to earn another contract with this team and wants to return.

Despite coming off the worst season franchise history, Farmar says the team wasn’t given a fair shot due to countless injuries according to Lakers Nation reporter Serena Winters:

Along with commenting on the worst season in franchise history for the Lakers, Farmar remains confident that GM Mitch Kupchak and the Buss family will be able to right the ship via Winters:

Heading into the off-season, the Lakers brass will have some tough decisions to make in terms of which players they intend to re-sign from the current roster. It is unclear at this point which players the team may be targeting to return, but Farmar may very well be one of the few.

Other notable players set to become free agents this summer are Pau Gasol, Chris Kaman, Nick Young, Jodie Meeks and Wesley Johnson. Gasol is obviously the biggest name on this list and hasn’t ruled out a return to the Lakers, but many anticipated that he’ll test the free agent waters and may have already played his last game with the team.
