Lakers News: Jeanie Buss Will Not Attend Dwight Howard Meeting

The Los Angeles Lakers are focused on their meeting with Dwight Howard, as they will participate in a sit down that will determine the direction the team goes for the foreseeable future.

The Lakers will be the last team to meet with Dwight Howard after the Houston Rockets, Atlanta Hawks, Dallas Mavericks and Golden State Warriors have had their say. Howard will meet with the Lakers on Tuesday and it is reported that some high names will be present for the sit down.

Kobe Bryant and Steve Nash are just some of the people expected to join the meeting and Mike Bresnahan tweets that the only member of the Buss family to be at the table will be Jim Buss.

Jim Buss has taken control of the basketball operations for the Lakers and the next challenge on his list will be to convince Howard to re-sign with the team. Buss took major heat after he (with help from his father) chose to hire Mike D’Antoni instead of Phil Jackson and if he cannot bring back Howard, a lot of the blame will fall on him.
