Lakers News: Happy 78th Birthday Jerry Buss

Today is the 78th birthday of the Los Angeles Lakers’ owner Dr. Jerry Buss. The Lakers have been one of the most influential and recognizable franchises in sports under Buss, and continue to strive for greatness. During Buss’ tenure the Lakers have won 10 NBA championships and have hosted some of the greatest players in league history.

The Lakers have always been a marquee team in the NBA, but Buss took them to a whole different level. Along with his titles and countless seasons of winning, the Lakers have grown to a world-wide team. Across the world, the purple-and-gold is famous and as long as Buss is heading the front-office, Los Angeles will always be a Lakers city.

Aside from his Lakers connection, Buss is a celebrated celebrity in Los Angeles and was honored by having his place at the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Happy Birthday Jerry Buss and thank you for all you have done for the Lakers!
