Lakers News: Facebook Greenlights Docu-series On Lonzo Ball, Family

This past year has seen the rise of Lonzo Ball, his father LaVar, and the rest of the Ball family into national prominence. LaVar has gotten many of the headlines due to his brash nature, and Lonzo was drafted second overall by the Los Angeles Lakers.

The family dynamic between all of the brothers and their father has been the subject of conversation for many. The Lakers front office noted that their trip to the Ball household and seeing how the family interacted with each other was a deciding factor in their selection of Lonzo.

For everyone else who hoped to get an inside look at the Ball family they will soon get a chance as Deadline.com reports that Facebook has greenlit a docu-series on the Ball family:

The Ball family, particularly LaVar, has been something of a polarizing figure in the public eye. Many believe that LaVar has put a target on Lonzo’s back and put unnecessary pressure on him. He has put his sons in a position to achieve all of their goals, however. And now fans and critics will have the chance to get a closer look at just how they operate.

With his second son, LiAngelo, set to start his freshman year at UCLA, and his youngest LaMelo one of the best high school players in the country at Chino Hills, it looks like LaVar will be around for a while.
