Lakers News: Dwight Howard Admits Immaturity Following Monday’s Loss

Los Angeles Lakers v Los Angeles ClippersAfter the Lakers fell to the Chicago Bulls on Monday there were all sorts of stories coming out of Los Angeles concerning trade rumors and immaturity in the locker room. Most of these stories circulated around Dwight Howard, and the one that seemed to strike the biggest issue with Laker fans and media members was Howard carrying around a stat sheet following the game, complaining about his lack of shot attempts.

Now, according to Mark Medina of the L.A. Daily News, Howard has admitted wrongdoing in that particular instance, and is hoping to move forward from the incident and let it go.

“It was immature,” Howard said. “I shouldn’t have done it. Today is a new day and today is a new game.”

It’s beginning to sound like a broken record. Another loss, another new season. At least this team keeps things interesting I guess.

Still, it has to be encouraging that Howard admits wrongdoing in his actions from Monday night. There’s no question his behavior rubbed many people the wrong way, so seeing him admit that and take responsibility is better than nothing.

Howard will attempt to get his team back on track Wednesday night against the Memphis Grizzlies.
