Lakers News: Dwight Howard Active Thursday vs. Boston Celtics

By | February 7, 2013|

After losing Pau Gasol for an extended period of time, the Lakers were left with the possibility of not having either of their dominant big men on Thursday night against the Boston Celtics. However, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports, Howard will indeed be in action for Los Angeles when they take the floor in Boston.

This is indeed encouraging news as the Celtics come into the game hot. They are winners of five straight, all of which came after they lost Rajon Rondo for the rest of the season with a torn ACL. But the Lakers have been on a streak of their own, winning six of their last seven games, including their biggest road win of the season on Tuesday in Brooklyn.

    ESPN TradeMachine:
Forget Dwight, trade him and Jamison for Love and Cunningham!

Why Cunningham? The team already has Clark. Trading D12 with Gasol & Hill out means a really thin and small front line. Greg Stiemsma, who was a defensive beast in Boston… second only to Ibaka in blocked shots last season would be the better second piece.

Either trade would be great, as long as Howard is out and Love is in LA once again!
